Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe food was so-so, the rooms are nice but a bit dark and our very large bathroom has a musty smell.
Beautiful property, lovely museum, a superb way to experience Balinese culture. Would recommend to anyone interested in a cultural experience.

IndonesiaThe breakfast is very standard, but it was quite alright.
I like EVERYTHING about this hotel, The pool, the museum, the view, the Warung Kopi, the staffs, the room. I didn’t expect to see the lush green rice fields and Everywhere you look, it's bursting with art and culture! Amazing place. I'm glad I chose to stay at ARMA. It's so peaceful and aligns perfectly with my purpose of coming to Ubud for yoga!

AustraliaMore free water would have been handy - although a supermarket over the road made it easy to stock up. Also more power outlets, and some were a bit old and dodgy.
Fantastic large landscaped grounds with multiple water features, bridges, stairs etc to explore. We stayed in a pool villa which was located in a quiet corner of the site and it was wonderful. Private garden with pool and cabana, all lushly planted and well maintained. The bedroom was large with a high ceiling and mozzie net around the bed, and although they weren’t a problem, the odd one snuck inside. Loved all the frog sounds at night from the pool in the outdoor deck part of the bathroom! Unfortunately we didn’t get round to trying the huge carved stone bath there but it was impressive. Staff were all lovely and helpful, especially carrying our bags all the way there and up the steps. They also arranged a car for sightseeing one day and pickup back to the airport, well organised. The dance performances are a must see! Amazingly good, the Gamalan orchestra especially hypnotic, all incredibly professional - see them all if you can! An added bonus is free entry into the museum which has a lot of varied Balinese art from old to very contemporary.

AustraliaThe newer rooms aren’t very soundproofed and can be noisy.
The Arma Resort is a peaceful oasis in what is becoming a very busy area near Ubud. It’s extensive grounds and the adjacent museum make you feel as if you are staying in the countryside. at the same time you are actually a short stroll from a wide range of excellent restaurants. Staff are wonderful, breakfast was very good, and rooms comfortable.

Can’t fault the Arma Museum and Resort! Had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and very comfortable, strong air con and strong shower. The facilities were great. The spa treatments were fantastic. The staff were also fantastic and ensure all our needs were met. I also lost and earring and they were quick to search the whole resort and were able to find it for you (special thanks to Made!). We would happily stay here again.

AustraliaThere are a few areas of the resort that I feel need a little maintenance and care eg. the red cushions around the restaurant area could do with a wash. The electric wall sockets around the beds in both bedrooms were loose, literally coming off the wall, I suspect they could be a safety hazard. There were chipped stone steps around the villa and the pond in the outside bathroom seems a little lifeless and unappealing. I hope the fish in there are happy… we were concerned about the state of the fish after retrieving a bar of soap from the water that must’ve been dropped in there by previous guests. The staff assured us that the water is regularly recycled and the fish are healthy.
This is an impressive and majestic property in a great location in the middle of busy Ubud. One is removed from all the noise and traffic once through the gates. We had a large villa and loved lazing by our pool in stunning surroundings. Breakfast is good and the setting along the stream is lovely. Some may think the selection is not extensive enough, but it was perfect for us, it’s all fresh, even the juices are freshly blended. Afternoon tea is a lovely touch and the location in the café near the museum is perfect, we loved the vibe and delicious coffee with balinese cake. The big supermarket opposite was very handy. The staff is super friendly… all in all, it was a great stop on our holiday!

AustraliaWe stayed in Wisma 3, the L-shaped building that has the slightly bigger common pool. Pool was clean, and room was kept immaculate. Beautiful grounds, and you were free to explore the museum. Always sounded like it was raining from the pool fountains outside the balcony. Great location with lots of wonderful eateries just around the corner. Arma has a Cafe side exit (Jalan Hanoman) onto a busy main street, where there were plenty of restaurants and cafes within a 5 min walk (Pison, Taco Casa, Twist, L'Osteria, Tukie's, Monkey Cave Espresso). Lots of spa places on this road as well (we enjoyed Audrey's the most) The buffet breakfast was nice, decent coffee, and lovely seating areas. Room service was prompt - although we mostly travelled out for food. Laundry came back wonderfully folded, a little damp (due to the weather) but we were easily able to continue drying them under the AC in the room. Exceptional culture hub to experience Balinese culture.

GermanyThis Resort is a perfect place to relax from the tourists crowds in the city, while beeing still close to the city and various activities on the island. The Resort is surouded by nature and water and you can't feel the busy noise of the city close by. Perfect place to relax and feel the beauty of the island. Musuem near by can be visited for free if you stay at the resort. It was really worth a visit because of the beautiful paintings and garden. Breakfast was simple, but it was well made and tasty. It was enough for us. There is also a Cafe and a Restaurant on the grounds. They both had deliciuos food which was not overpriced. The Resort also has Spa where you can enjoy a calming massage with the view of the forest and sound of water. We also visited one of the traditional dances organised by Arma. It was truly a unique and wonderfull experience. All in all, it was a great place to stay, full of nature and culture. We even extended our stay by one more night.

AustraliaThat we didn’t stay longer! I wish we stayed longer as there was so much to do and explore working the resort and museum. if I could I would love in that Villa - truely a special experience!
One of the best resorts we have every stayed in! Our Villa was incredible, the photos online did not do it justice. The Villa was so much bigger then expected and had views of the working rice fields and jungle. The room facilities and pool were incredible with beautiful Balinese features and decor. We will 100% stay at the Amra again. Amra staff were also amazing! Ubud itself is a wonderful destination, and the Amra resort really captures a true Balinese traditional feel. The grounds of the resort are beautiful with temples, sculptures and garden to explore, not to forget the attached museum! There was so much to do in the Resort, our Villa and in the museum, and not just typical resort activities, what I mean is traditional Balinese activities and adventures. The resort is also walking distance to many shops and restaurants, including the Monkey Forest.

RomaniaPerhaps a better lighting of the insight courtyard, as you have some steps and alleys you need to walk.
Even though the hotel is located in the center of Ubud, once you get inside, it’s like a different world: so peaceful, with green and beautiful gardens. The private pool vila is really nice, with big outdoor bathroom and lovely garden. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to use too much the private pool, leaving in the morning and getting back late evening, but nice experience overall.

AustraliaI think it would be nice to listen to traditional Balinese music at breakfast instead of Western muzak.
We were very pleasantly surprised by everything about Arma resort. The place is like staying in an ancient Balinese temple that was converted into a resort and museum. It is beautifully landscaped with statues everywhere, and has a canal running through it. The rooms were big and clean and there was daily turndown service. Every single staff member was wonderful, friendly and helpful. Cynthia and other front desk staff helped us communicate with our next hotel and found a driver to help get us there. There are two art museums onsite which we could access for free, and daily afternoon tea for guests - that iced tea in a quiet space after walking back in off the Ubud main strip was like heaven. we discovered that if we walked out the main gate of the museum (next to Seeds eatery) instead of the hotel then we were smack bang in the centre of the Ubud action. We walked everywhere. The spa staff were lovely and we had massages onsite that we loved. The spa is next to the pool. Daily happy hour of 2-1 cocktails began at 3pm. Thank you Arma, we will be back!
