How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The breakfast and their restaurant are deceiving. Not many choices and it's not really good. Too bad.
Good location and kind staff. Room is comfy.

The bathroom's locks were broken. The connecting rooms were quite far away from the lift.
I like that the reception was friendly, wheel chair was available, staffs were ready to help out. The aromatherapy works wonder to the level I stayed in.

Stained sheets and towels. Drinking water in the room was provided in unsealed bottles.
Very kind staff, easy check-in and check-out, good wifi, safety box in the room, comfortable bed. Did not try the breakfast.

Radisson to replace carpets badly stained. Hotel staff very nice but building needs work
Good breakfast. Hotel felt it needed some refurbishment. Was disappointed to see food on the ground by the pool and it looked scruffy with flys so I started to sweep it when staff took over. Reception staff excellent

We asked for non-smoking room. We were given a room in level 2 whereby the lift lobby and the walkway have cigarette bins ( allowing people to smoke ). The room hence became smoky.
Great size for the 1 bedroom suite. The only thing to improve is to provide clean pillow sheet + ensure no smoking smell.

Although the road trip to the airport was not reletated to the hotel, the journey to the airport by Grab was a big put-off. The grab driver took a route through a village that looked like a slump with very a narrow and crowded road and basically had to honk his way through for close to an hour. The hotel should voice out to the tourism sector to avoid such a route to the airport else tourists would probably not return for another visit to Medan City.
The breakfast came with reasonable selection but a little below expectation. The location is close to the 3 major malls viz Centrepoint, DeliPark & Sun Plaza. However, it is preferable for you to use a grab or taxi to go the these places as I didn't notice any proper pedestrian walkways that lead to the malls. On a Thursday night, there was a live band which was pretty enjoyable.

The hotel looked dated, indicating a need for renovation to improve the overall ambiance. The gas station nearby was a bit of a hassle and the surrounding area was very noisy. Unexpectedly loud noises at 7 am disturbed the tranquility of the stay. In addition, the air conditioning system would periodically turn off for no apparent reason. The Arena restaurant is quite average. Access to the pool only by a high staircase could be inconvenient for some guests.
Wifi was reliable and fast. Breakfast was impressive, offering a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. Additionally, the presence of a well-equipped cot with bedding made the stay more comfortable for our child.

The staff, especially Mrs Ririn and Mrs Bethani, did an excellent job during my stay at the Radisson Medan. There was one complaint from me but they acted very professionally and I was very satisfied. Thank you very much for your great service. -

Depending on which floor you stayed, rooms were better/more modern or older. In the older room (7th floor corner near the restaurant), the TV reception wasn’t good and water pressure in the shower wasn’t great. In the newer room (3rd floor), it was much better.
Staff were friendly, room was comfortable and clean.

I didn't like there being a some sort if musical or TV or radio station atvtge basement of the hotel which resulted in noise all night

Some bedsheets have some visible stains, could be more clean. Soundproofing could be better.
We liked the friendly and helpful staff and the comfort of our room. Very happy with daily complimentary water bottle refill.

The smoking odor of the second floor, pass it when going to the gym
