There was something like a party on the streets and it was quite noisy, i was on the 8th floor.

Breakfasts were poor range and quality. After 9.30 seemed food wasn’t recharged so less choice. But can’t expect a huge amount for the price. Very busy street particularly at night.

Comfortable room. Good price for Jakarta. Free laundry was really appreciated to enable a big clothes wash. Friendly staff.

Front Desk staff not friendly or attentive. Gave no assistance multiple times in a few requests and were quite rude. I wish there was a mini bar in the room.

Hotel was very clean and facilities were nice. Buffet breakfast was varied and changed daily. Restaurant staff were really nice, friendly and attentive. Same as bell boy team.

Can’t say it’s something major, but the tv kept turning on during the night, not sure what was happening, might be the remote from the other rooms interfering or I don’t know, but we waked up confused.

Stayed for one night on our way to Bali, hotel was perfect for our stay. Room was nice and clean, hotel is close to restaurants, staff is very nice and friendly, very good value for money. Overall a good choice.

The hotel claims it an environmental friendly with a card asking guests not to change their sheets too often, but the AC and the lights are on at all time even in empty rooms... Not only was it really cold in the room even after I turned everything off, but if they really want to help the planet maybe an effort could be made on that aspect, like at least turning everything off when the room is empty. I know that would be a big change but the big planet needs some of those 😉

Everything is really clean and beautiful, breakfast is delicious and varied, hotel is quiet and staff very polite and nice. Also the location is great, right in the center with many streetfood just downstairs.

The laundry room could use a little order. It can be a little chaotic when some people leave their laundry after it's done and with all kinds of nationality in a hotel, the ethics of removing other people's laundry can be quite iffy. The front desk luckily is always helpful to sort it out. Breakfast is meh. Sufficient but nothing to shout about. Doesn't really matter to us as we normally skip breakfast.

What I appreciate most about the hotel is the staff. Indonesians are very welcoming but the team at Ashley Tang is above and beyond the baseline. We needed to get to the Whoosh station for an early morning ride so the night before I asked Jefri at the front desk if he could prepare a cab for 6 am. I was half expecting there to be none when I went down the next morning but there was Jefri, and outside was a Blue Bird cab, ready with our destination. Our room didn't have a fridge, which was a concern when we booked. Luckily Jefri at the front desk happily took some local delicacies we got from a friend and kept them in the hotel's freezer. The dish survived our flight home, still a little chilly. The hotel also has a free laundry room, which I appreciate. Managed to clean our dirty clothes before the flight back and saved us some chores. One other thing I appreciate about the hotel is just how fragrant smelling it is. The moment I step foot into the lobby, the hectic hustle and bustle of Jakarta just fades away – despite being smacked in the middle of the busy, noisy, and smoky Sabang Food Street. It is truly an oasis. If you're worried about the noise from the street troubling your sleep, you shouldn't. We spent 5 nights on the 6th floor. On the first night, I noticed some noise but it died down by 10, and for the subsequent days, I don't notice anything at all. There are convenient stores on either side of the hotel and a fresh grocer across the road. It has everything you could need. Plus the location is popular, so any Jakarta cabbie would know where it is. It's just under USD1.50 for a cab ride to Plaza/Grand Indonesia, and you can walk to the Jakarta MRT station and TransJakarta Busway. Can't say enough good things. Good job guys.

There needs to be another guest area other than the restaurant dining areas on ground floor. A floor devoted to a cafe with window views and plants and comfortable seating otherwise it is just too minimal! Sterile and restrictive for relaxation on the property. Positives were beautiful boho chinese style furnishings and features. And free laundry facility. Thank you david.dowling@rocketmail.com
