We loved the experience!! The staff was incredible. My husband had gotten a little sick and they were really attentive. Before I had arrived at the airport, they helped with many things as well. The view from our tent was spectacular. The tent had everything we needed - they literally had thought of everything. The breakfast was incredible!! Overall amazing experience. Special mention to gooday and Sony.

This place is otherworldly; seriously cool tents, which are air conditioned and comfortable, the pool is beautiful and very well maintained, it’s quiet and tranquil. A lot of love and care has gone into setting this resort up and it shines through. The crepes at breakfast were lovely, and they use fresh loaves for toast (something we haven’t seen at another resort). They also have an honour system fridge near reception where you can grab a drink any time of day and log it to your room. The owners and management are clearly passionate about hospitality, we would stay here forever if we could.

Loved everything

Everything, absolutely loved it. We actually had other hotel booked (half a year ago), once arrived understood that it was not for us at all, this other hotel kindly cancelled and refunded us the money so we were in a search of a hotel on the spot. Found Autentik and it is a Gem!!!! The pool is amazing, the staff, really nice French restaurant 2 minutes walk..

The tents are clean, beautiful & have so many amenities to make you comfortable. The pool is great. They let you rent motorbikes from them which is very convenient. It was also nice to book the boat and car transfer with them for convenience. They even made a flower arrangement for our honeymoon. Breakfast was also so nice and could be brought to your tent each morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Gotta be honest, really hard to fault the place but I’ll be as critical as I can just to give a balanced view. The pool is super idyllic but did make my shorts go a shade of green (not the first time this has happened on my travels), not a massive deal obviously. Also as some have stated already in the reviews, if you’re not comfortable with certain insects (spiders in particular) then this place might be a struggle to face some phobias. The team have done a great job of trying to make the tent as air tight as possible but the wild will find a way in some way or another. As long as you can deal with that you’ll be fine.

Loved the aesthetic, loved the staff and our tent! Autentik is exactly that, authentic. If you want to spend the night literally sleeping in the jungle surrounded by monkeys, birds and even chickens then you really cannot go wrong. Very unique experience and one that I won’t forget, genuinely a memorable time spent here. The staff go above and beyond, pickup and drop off to the port as well as boat travel all taken care of, no issues at any point. We will be recommending this place to anyone that will listen, if we head back to Penida then we’ll be heading back to Autentik 100%

I absolutely love everything about this place! The location is amazing, totally immersed in nature, beautiful views and peaceful. Facilities are very clean and comfortable, the pool it’s just incredible. Breakfast is beautiful. The stuff are lovely people and very welcoming! I got food poisoning on my way to Penida so I was pretty useless when I arrived to Autentik. When the stuff knew about it, they genuinely care about my well being, brought me some medicine and attended special requests to make me feel better. Also gave me gold tips about the island so I could make the most of it when I got better. I wouldn’t think twice before staying here again and absolutely recommend it!

Breakfast wasn’t that great

The most amazing stay. Absolutely exceeded our expectation. For what you pay, this would be $500 a night in NZ and it was only a third of that price here. The staff are amazing, very attentive and the location is just stunning. This place was the highlight of our whole 3 week trip.

The staff were amazing, the setting was breath taking and the tents beautiful and comfortable. chilling out with the sound of the jungle watching the monkeys and sunset was 10/10. The pool and breakfast was also brilliant.

take into account the stays are tents and with the humidity, even bedsheets are gonna feel dump, our clothes wouldn’t dry bc of that and we would feel things were not fully dry

Breakfast was good but a bit too small.

Hospitality of the personel was on point, especially Sony. He gave us some tips during our stay on Nusa Penida even though we only stayed in Autentik for one night. He also helped us to transfer our big backpacks to next accomodation. 👍 Tent and the view is amazing. We get the tent in second row because this one was available only but still great experience and view.

It would have been good if the closest trees to the tent could be removed as they blocked the jungle view. There was really not much to see from the tent. For the best view, ask for tent 7 or 8.

Very friendly staff welcoming with ice tea. Nice that they have scooters to rent already at the facility. The breakfast was fantastic. Nice swimming pool area. Great idea to have a big water dispenser (warm and cold water) in each tent, included. Very much appreciated.

We really feel that we sleep in the nature, just you guys have to be prepared for those insects, such as flying cockroaches, spider and etc, because all come from nature, just remember to zip your tent well. They do provide great breakfast.

Service level shows some potential up, i.e. guidance for things to see and to do as well as providing ways of getting there. More spontaneous guest may struggle getting their requests accommodated, particularly around getting a driver. Pricing policy related to driving not very consequent - changes depending on who you speak to. Resorts dedicated driver not very communicative. It's important not to spoil a guest's day by someone with a little attitude. Water pressure in shower could use improving.

Intimate setting with just 8 glam tents around a great pool area to hang out. Diving club and a couple of dining options in direct vicinity speak for this location too.
