A fantastic property, ideal for the early morning climb to the top of Mount Batur to see the sunrise. The property is clean and spacious and right at the base of Mount Batur - no need for early morning transport. Nyoman, the host, is super helpful, and answers questions via WhatsApp very quickly. He arranged for transport to and from our accommodation in Sanur as well as for a local guide (Grey) to take us up the volcano. To note, the property is not close to any restaurants or shops as it is literally at the base of Mount Batur.

For us nothing. Please bear in mind the place is a bit up the mountain so the road is not that great at the end and the villa is a bit further away from the village (which was no problem for us).

Perfect for the Batur Hike! Very pleasant host who helped us arrange the hike, transport (to and from) and offers great food.

Property access is tricky

The location was perfect for before or post Mount Batur hiking. Large sized rooms and bathroom. Plenty of hot water for showers and mini split for comfortable room temperatures. Breakfast was freshed cooked and delicious. Staff were super accommodating with last minute hiking arrangements and transport to and from dinner.

-I can only talk about suggestions for improvement but there’s nothing I didn’t like about the property. Maybe that would be good to give water bottles in the room -As you are a business owned family I would highly encourage you to print documents of services that you offer with prices ( like trek to Mt Batur, transport, etc) only to help you to get your customers to book all their stuff through you and not go with other company 🥹🥰 -The paint on the wall on a little area was coming off but no drama really - For those who are worried about flies PLEASE don’t blame the owners, there are flies everywhere from Katamini to Mount Batur as there are farms around 😇

The Location was perfect for me right at the Bottom of Mount Batur giving me a special experience 😍 -The Bathroom was massive, so much space, I loved the tiling job, clean and tasteful ! -Room was big, I felt so privileged with view on both lake and local fields. -Breakfast was simple yet yummy, I am so grateful for the owners responsiveness, I didn’t want to rush them for breakfast but ended up making my request for brekkie last minute as I suddenly decided I was going to walk to Mount Batur 😅 They made my breakfast in no time 😎 -The owners are very nice and accommodating -They let me use the shower after I did my trek even though I already checked out and they kindly offered without me even asking -They arranged my car trip to Ubud for 350000rp -Very good quality for price -Lovely landscape all over the property, no matter what room you’re getting you are assured to have a stunning view on something naturally beautiful ! 😌💕 - I loved the vibes - Short walk to The Natural Hotsprings - I slept like a baby, was so comfy and peaceful that I canceled my 3am walked to Mount Batur and delayed to 8am 😅 - Owners have the project to do more rooms and build a swimming pool

The only thing to be aware of is that the road is quite bad to get to the accommodation. Our taxi could get there but other cars may struggle.

The accommodation is immaculately clean and new! The staff were extremely helpful and will do anything to make your stay perfect. There is a menu you can order good quality food from - would recommend the fried noodles! The staff can also arrange trekking/ jeeps/ taxis easily for you with no hassle. It is easy to communicate with staff at the villa via WhatsApp before your stay - they reply to messages very quickly! Bed is very comfy! We would definitely recommend this accommodation!

Extremely cold after sunset, but that has nothing to do with the guesthouse. If you have any warm clothes, you'd better take it all with you ;)

You can start climbing mount Batur right from your bedroom. Very hot water and strong water stream in shower.

We couldn’t reach it by car (as our car couldn’t get up the hill) for the rest all was great! We could park the car downhill and the staff helped us with our luggage

Staff was so friendly and helpful. At arrival we got some freshly made pisang goreng which was so good! The room was clean and comfy. Views were beautiful as well!

the last part of the street it a bit bumpy, but we still managed to get there with our scooter. maybe you should just avoid driving at night

Super friendly owner of the property. He, his wife and their son were very welcoming and caring. The hotel is very new and beautiful. The location is super, you can start your hike from here directly without having to drive somewhere. The owner also provides you a guide if you like one. Thank you again for everything!

Everything was great!

Super nice host with a prefect location to do the morning hike. You can directly start from the hotel. The host organized everything perfectly with a very nice guide who showed us everything also beside the touristic stuff. Very good price for what you get and very reliable. You get what you paid for in a super nice way. Host is totally helpful and can organize whatever you need for a good price. Rooms are new and very clean. I can totally recommend this accommodation and would do it again. Thanks a lot to the whole Exotic Batur Team for a wonderful experience at mount Batur and all your flexibility.

No mosquitoes but quite some flies, because there are farms around. The way up from the village is a bit challenging but manageable as well with a scooter as with a taxi. Walking up is a nice preparation for the volcano tracking :-)

Very quiet nice place. Quietly located at the edge of the village so we could start hiking to the volcano straight from our room. Beautiful view to the lake and to Mount Batur. Comfortable spacy rooms. Very clean also bed and bathroom. Very nice, friendly, and caring owner! Helping organizing taxi, renting scooter, vulcano hiking. Before the sunrise hiking he even made breakfast at 3:30 in the morning and started the fireplace at night. Very quick laundry service. And clothing was really clean the first time in Bali. (We were trying at least 4 other places before.) Staying at Batur Exotic we enjoyed so much that we stayed for two more nights. You feel that they really wont to help and not just make business.

Lots of flies from the surrounding farms were about but that is just the nature of the location.

The Villa is very new so everything was clean and fresh. Newman, the owner was very welcoming. He helped us organise a guide for the volcano trek, a driver for the following day and his wife cooked us some simple but delicious food for dinner. The road was a bit crazy to get there but that just added to the rustic style, as the villa is surrounded by vegetable farms and a bit far up the mountain.

We definitely recommend this accommodation! It’s amazing place near to Batur, great point to start your sunrise trip. Nyoman recommended us the best guide Ketut for the trip (really good price). Nyomans wife prepared for us really good food! Rooms are very, very nice, new and spacious. Owners are very friendly and helpful! Thank you!

The road, which google maps suggests to the acommodation is very very rocky and horrible. However there is another slightly better road, which the owner of the place can show. Outside of hiking Mt Batur there is nothing to do in the area as the location also is quite far from everything. The construction quality of the house doesnt seem to be too good as birds tried to get in the room through the ceiling nook. We saw one bird looking from the nook while lying in bed.

The bed was really comfortable and all the amentities worked perfectly. This is an excellent acommodation for those who plan to hike Mt Batur as the hiking trail starts almost from the house.

Not much else around - the Vila is about 20 mins walk from other places and any restaurant or shops

Very new villa, pool and surrounding areas still been built - will be a good complex when they have finished it all maybe in a few years! Very clean - large rooms high ceilings Comfy bed and fresh linen Really good location for starting the Mt Batur hike which was the purpose of our visit
