Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Loved this place! They brought breakfast right to our room, the owner and family were so lovely and helped us arrange activities. Definitely see the Hindu temple close by, and Alingaling waterfalls. Would absolutely recommend staying here :)

I love everything about Bebek Biru. It's the most beautiful Villa. I have stayed here several times & I love it more every time. The Villa is spotlessly clean, the bed is so comfortable, I love the mosquito net, I love all the comfy places to rest & read, I love, the position of the Villa. I am always grateful for the breakfast served with love & attention. I love having it delivered to my Verandah. I am always so grateful for Wayan & how helpful he is. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I am definitely coming back to stay here & I might stay longer next time. ♡♡♡

The room has a lovely little lotus pond in front. The view is also magnificent. The area has a lot of rice fields and nature. Not touristy but very relaxing and quiet.

AustraliaNothing, it was perfect.
Loved the beautiful quiet spot tucked well off the street with serene views looking down across the fields. Gorgeous room, stylishly furnished, had everything I needed. Love the great staff, Wayan has going out of his way to help me, taking me to the bank, organising a Silversmith class and then taking me there and picking me up. I loved this place so much I extended my stay 3 nights!

AustraliaMaybe an extra light in the living room downstairs (above the couch near the stairs) as that part of the room is quite dark at night. But just a suggestion, it wasn't a problem for us.
Bebek Biru is amazing! I only regret that we stayed just for one night! The location and views are superb, it is beautifully decorated and there is tons of space for a family. Would highly recommend! Our best stay in Bali.

RomaniaBreakfast was basic. The stairs were very uncomfortable specially when handling luggages. The kitchen and livingroom area were basic.
The house has a lot of character and balinese rural vibe. The views are amazing and so is the nature around the house. The terraces were very nice and comfortable and so were the beds in the bedroom. Lovely open bathroom. A lot of quiet, nature sounds. We also saw fireflies. We enjoyed staing there very much.

IndonesiaI loved loved loved our stay at Bebek biru. The house is located in the rice paddies and neighbours are far. In the evening we could hear the sounds of crickets, and frogs, no motorbikes, no people, sooo peaceful! We stayed in the room downstairs, which is beautifully decorated, very clean and cosy. There is no panoramic view from this room, but it is beautiful enough, you can see a the valley, a hill with rain forest and lots of greenery around. There's a pond with lotus flowers and a big fish, great for chilling at the terrace. The garden of the property is well mantained and absolutely beautiful with many kinds of flowers and plants. It was harvest time when we were there so we could see the locals collecting the rice from the fields, they were all very friendly and smilling :) My only recommendation is about the breakfast, make portions a big bigger (the pankace for example), also give some sauce for the scrambled eggs toast (otherwise its too dry), give some jam for the pancake, and milk for the coffee. These are simple things that will make the guests be like waaaaaw and have even more unforgettable stay. Anyways the staff was great and gave us extra breakfast for free that made us very happy and satisfied :) Thank you, Bebek biru, we will be back!

AustraliaWe loved it all. Note that you are in the rice fields and there is definitely some animal activity in the roof/around the house at night. It didn’t bother us, but I definitely wouldn’t leave any food out overnight. It’s all part of the country experience!
This was the most beautiful place we stayed in Bali. The views, the comfort, the decor…. It’s all amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer.

AustraliaOur only suggestion would be to have a stand for those really big bottles of filtered water. Buying so many plastic bottles of water doesn't feel great. Also, the double bed upstairs has a very firm mattress - just a little too firm for two of us.
Traveling with my wife and 13-year-old daughter, Bebek Biru is, simply, the best place we've stayed in Bali. It is a quiet, self-contained two-storey villa 200m off the road with a view across the rice paddies down to the river and up to the magnificent ridge in the distance. It is peaceful, beautiful, relaxing and restorative. We simply didn’t want to leave, either day to day, or in the end when we had to. From the path, you enter the big downstairs room with a kitchen and lounge with a large divan and well-stocked bookcase, and to the side, an indoor-outdoor bathroom (with lovely pregnant woman statue blessing the massive bath). You climb a spiral staircase to the second floor, where there is a big bedroom with a queen and a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. Both levels have large verandahs with table, chairs and a divan. We virtually lived on the upstairs verandah, playing cards, reading and simply gazing out at the view as the crows of local roosters and clanging of the local gamelan blew in on the breeze. The house is managed by Wayan, who comes each morning to cook a simple, delicious breakfast and and attend to your every need, for example organising walks through the rice fields, or a taxi. He is friendly and competent and speaks good English. Sideman is a small and peaceful authentic working village, with an unobtrusive tourist presence, levels of accommodation from low to high end, and many good warungs. Very close to Bebek Biru are two small shops to buy snacks, water etc. and also close at hand are cafes for simple, inexpensive food. Bebek Biru is the perfect base from which to enjoy and explore peaceful Sideman.
