Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBeingSattvaa was one of the highlights of our trip to Bali. It is tucked away in a quiet rainforest with not many rooms so it will never get crowded. My husband and I felt like we were the only ones there at times. The location is absolutely stunning! The staff are very lovely and will help you with anything you need. 10/10 recommend, we will be back!

SingaporeNicely nestled off the main road in midst of rice terraces and small gorges. Private atmosphere as the resort is rather small. We had breakfast almost alone. Very personal care by an amazing resort team. Free shuttles into Ubud, but scooter is recommended for more flexibility

United KingdomNothing, it was gorgeous.
The setting is stunning and the pool is glorious. Brilliant staff, one of whom arranged a lovely visit to a waterfall for us. The waterfall was close by, but not busy at all and we had a really memorable day.

The hotel is beautiful and surrounded by nature and greenery. Is far away enough from the centre that is quiet and relaxing but close enough that you get there easily. The hotel provided free shuttles to and from the centre during the day. Wifi is free and reliable in every part of the hotel. The food is only vegetarian and vegan but they offer lots of variety and yummy food. We tried the morning yoga once and it was good and flexible to different levels of skill. The accommodation is clean and housekeeping is very attentive. The spa offers good massages, would recommend their signature one :) the staff is so, so lovely. Can't praise them enough. I celebrated my birthfay there and they went above and beyond to make it special - surprised me with a cake and sang happy birthday when I came back from dinner, offered complementary floating breakfast in the private pool and decorated the bedroom. We left the hotel at 3am to do the Mount Batour sunrise tour (you must do this!) and they organised a delicious breakfast box for us to take!!! Special thanks to Mona, Dewa and Soni for being so amazing.

AustraliaWe stayed in the Teakwood House right next to the rice field, such a beautiful outlook. There was plenty of room for our family of four with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Beds and pillows were incredibly comfy. The host team are amazing and did so much for us, from morning yoga sessions, relaxing massages, preparing delicious meals to taking us out on the best waterfall trip. A beautiful retreat in tranquil jungle surroundings.

Beautiful place! Stunning location, away from the business of Ubud centre but still in the middle of relevant spots such as rice fields etc. The hotel is super serene and in the middle of nature. During our breakfast on the patio we even spotted monkeys in the trees which was an unreal experience.

NetherlandsNot much to mention. Property is well maintained, but getting older. AC in the room worked very well, at times it was even a little fresh. The climate is obviously very humid and the older AC is working very hard to dry the air
Very nice location, quiet and relax atmosphere. Excellent hospitality, always very friendly staff. Good food and we liked especially the vegan options. The vegan birthday cake was delicious. Well done!

SingaporeMy wife said that time passed too fast
Amazing host team. Helped in a heartwarming way, to make the stay for my wife (who needed to travel alone this time) unforgettable. You do not feel like 'a number' but truly cared about. The small hotel is a bit older, but well kept up and tidy - wonderfully located towards a small gorge and away from the main road.

The entire experience at BeingSattva was just perfect. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble to make our stay a thoroughly enjoyable experience. They looked after us so well for the entire trip. The facilities are in a stunning and peaceful location and are clean, spacious and comfortable. I cannot recommend BeingSattva and the lovely staff more highly. If you want a peaceful get away for relaxation this is the place for you. The hustle and bustle of Ubud is close by and plenty of sightseeing and activities on hand when you want.
