We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

IrelandFood and beverages were not available after 11pm. Hotel grounds are non-existent, this property is just a building. Quite a distance (30mins) from the airport.
The hotel is of a very good standard and rooms are of the quality you would expect. I arrived late at night and was quickly processed through reception. A good range of channels on the tv, adequate wifi, and a very nice bathroom.

IndonesiaI wished the AC was cooler than it was. I think the towel needed replacement.
I like the getaway deals they offered. With that price, I lowered my expectation but it turned out great. The bathroom was clean, the warm and cold water in the shower worked well. The lighting was match my personal preferences (warm lighting), the TV had many enjoyable channels. The room had a mini cooler. The amenities were almost complete. The receptionists were helpful.

IndonesiaCleanliness of the bathroom could be better. There are lots of stains in the shower head and bathroom curtain, a bit turn off.
The staff were nice, helpful and friendly, although the quality are inconsistent depending on who are you dealing with. Great location, spacious rooms are couple of things that are best from this property . I also appreciate the effort to be environmentally conscious by using refillable soap and shampoo, sadly it was empty when I checked in so needed to call them to refill but the process was super fast!

Do not treat your guests as idiots, it just serves to piss them off. Information is key to relationships. If you had shared information I wouldn’t be sitting here writing this scathing review! We got to the hotel just after 5. They had obviously over booked and when we were finally given keys to the rooms on the 8th floor we went up to find that the rooms hadn’t finished being cleaned and they were smoking rooms. 801 smelt like the smoking lounge at any airport. On going downstairs I was told by the female manager on duty, that non-smoking rooms were subject to availability. Pardon? Talk about a red flag to a bull. I had booked non smoking and as far as I am concerned if you have a separate category for it and I book it, you had better have one. Or in our case, two. Exasperated with the ineffectual registration staff who now hid in the glow of their computer screens and with no non smoking rooms currently available, still wearing clothes we had traveled all day in, we concierged our baggage and headed into the now dark streets to resurrect something of the lost evening. 1.5 hours gone. We were late arriving at the hotel and our rooms should have been ready. We were not able to freshen up. The idea of watching a sunset at the Harbour taken from us. No apologies given. In fact they seemed it was their job to make it our fault. At this hotel, money seems to matter more than souls. Shame on you Best Western Plus Makassa

IndonesiaOur disappointment began at arrival. Reception informed us that our non-smoking room with a double bed that we had reserved a month in advance was unavailable. We were then escorted to a smoking room with two twin beds. After some protest, we were again moved into a non-smoking room, but still twin beds. We were assured that our originally booked room would be available the next day, it wasn't. Furthermore, the shower was encrusted with hard-water stains, the sink was clogged, and there was a beetle or similar bug in the room.
