Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesChange the toilet ring as it looks old (but still very clean).
The attention of the local hosts is amazing. I have been around the world and never in my life had seen such a great attention from the hotel workers. Thanks to all you I am rating this place as 10. The place is beautiful and in the middle of the jungle! Lovely for a peaceful stay and run away from busy Canggu.

SingaporeThe outdoor bathroom gets a little muddy when it rains heavily.
The best thing about this property is the people who runs the place. They are amazing bunch of friendly, helpful, and cheerful friends. You can’t help but feel so welcomed and well taken care of. First they welcomed us with a welcome drink, showed us to our room, which was right the furthest end and was ok for us. The room has no air condition but the air temperature drops quite low at night and we slept so well. The staff walked us through the path to take for the three waterfalls and offered to pick us up by scooter after our trek. One of their staff, Adi, offered to help us hunt for durians!! It was really touching and we had a great time there. We want to go back there again!

What a marvelous hidden little gem. We had a lovely room. Nicely decorated. Clean. Comfortable bed. Great view. The location is great as you can go for a trek in the forest and discover 3 waterfalls nearby. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back or recommend it.

AustraliaStuff out of their control - electricity failure to our daughters room but was rectified as soon as possible.
This is a beautiful property in an amazing location, but the highlights are the amai g friendly guys running the place and the food. They gave us helpful advice about walks to the waterfalls and just anything we needed happened. Great cooking class here and fabulous massages! The motor scooter ride from the village when we were worn out after our walk was just super fun. People have mentioned it was noisy but it’s wildlife- haha and roosters- we loved it. I would have liked to stay longer!

AustraliaNothing we didn’t like. Would just caution people that there are a lot of stairs to navigate, so think twice if you have mobility issues.
The most beautiful, relaxing location. Our family of five loved it. Rooms beautiful, ours had a private pool. Delicious local meals and fantastic, friendly helpful staff.

NetherlandsThe accommodation provides you with earplugs, that you will need to not hear the rooster, cat and tokehs during the night. However, their earplugs are wonderful and we had the best sleep!
Beautiful location, spacious rooms, in the middle of nature and the most friendly staff we encountered during our stay on Bali. They are very helpful and are open for a chat as well!

United KingdomCould not fault this place, a real find, we were so happy when we arrived here and looked around. We used the hotel transport to get here from Sanur, a good idea, as the Bintang Munduk is fairly isolated. Ery was a great driver and guide. Wonderful views over the lush mountains and forests. We took the local walk to the waterfalls nearby, well worth doing as they are beautiful. The hotel staff are superb, such a great team, they made our stay. Lovely room, open air bathroom, full of character. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast and dinner options and the infinity pool is lovely. Thanks to Gus and the team, you guys are fantastic.

United KingdomObviously being quite open and some facilities being outdoors you will get bugs. Just something to be aware of
A really unique experience, essentially a retreat surrounded by lush greenery. We hired a private villa with pool. The rooms were spacious and clean, (you do get bugs here and there but for a place in the outdoors like this, it's expected and nothing crazy). The beds were comfy and had netting around to protect from bugs at night. Bathrooms had some parts of the roof that were open (essentially outdoors) but good privacy. Breakfast and food in general was good and the service here was excellent. A special shout-out to Gus and Adi as well as the rest of the staff for being so helpful and kind, and helping to make our stay so special. The experience here at the villa was amazing and I would definitely recommend. They even provide speakers in the room so you can listen to music whilst relaxing at the pool!

GermanyThe only downside to the beautiful location is that the jungle comes alive at night with sound and towards the early morning so do several roosters. which is wonderful on the one hand and although earplugs are provided this might effect your sleep if you are sound sensitive.
We loved our family suite, the pool, the view, the restaurant and the location from where we could visit 3 waterfalls on foot and numerous other nature related activities and waterfalls within a short drive. The personal was extremely helpful, friendly, hospitable and really anticipated all our wishes. We would like to take this opportunity to especially thank Andri who seemed to be such a sincerely kind and positive person.

CanadaThe stair climb down to our villa and back up to the pool was quite daunting for someone with bad knees. The pool was very chilly but the view was gorgeous. As with many small hotels in Bali, there were no washcloths for guests. Also as with most places we stayed in Bali the mattresses were very hard.
Beautiful setting, wonderful staff, lovely little villa. I would have stayed longer if only they had space! I loved our villa- it was very pretty and felt luxurious. Everyone who worked there was so friendly and helpful. The view was spectacular.

PolandIf you are staying in Munduk, you need to be prepared for having scooter or car to be able to get to all interesting places. Riding a scooter is one of the best attractions you can ever have! Thanks to scooter we could explore and seek all unique & authentic places around villa. I don't recommend ordering dinner, because it's expensive vs quality of food - for me it wasn't tasty as other places (warnings) nearby that's why we ordered only one dinner during our stay.
The Villa is surrounded by beautiful scenery and the view from the balcony was outstanding. If you look for silence and peace, place to relax without crowds - you should definitely choose this villa to stay. The comfort & hotel is adequate to price you're spending on. Beautiful infinity pool with the view on green jungle & mountains. We've had very nice & pleasant time here. Breakfasts were okay - nothing to complain about. The staff is the best - so helpful and supportive. Always-on & ready for your questions, are able to arrange you or help to arrange anything you'd want (transport, trips etc).

AustraliaVery hilly if you want to trek. No tea or coffee facilities in room, but staff will quickly bring you a pot of tea/coffee when asked.
It is away from tourist area. In the wet season it rains, a lullaby to put you to sleep at night. No TV to distract you from experiencing the beautiful scenery or the hospitality of staff who are welcoming and helpful. They organise tours, cars, in room massages at economical prices. The chef/cook makes tasty Balinese dishes. The iced chocolate and hot chocolate are delicious. Ask to try the Mangostein fruit. We will visit again.
