Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyConstruction work. And also bath tubs, it doesn't look hygienic. Main building rooms are a bit dark. Room service at main building was disappointing.
The main building room was ok but there was a construction work so it was noisy. The hotel upgraded us to villas. Villas are excellent with private pool. Internal design is also very calming. The restaurant where the villas located is very nice with delicious breakfast and dinner. Staff are very kind, helpful.

LatviaIt’s allowed to smoke on a balcony in the room, so in case you are a non smoker and somebody below your room smokes - your room will smell after cigarettes even with closed doors. So would be really good if smoking would be allowed at designated areas only.
Property is absolutely amazing in all aspects, place, staff, food

JapanThe living room is open air, so a little hot, and we could not leave nothing there, because monkeys might come.
Although situated in center of Ubud, very quiet. Staff is kindly, breakfast is good, and location is excellent. We enjoyed private pool and hot tub. Hot water was sufficient.

Everything about the hotel was amazing. Comms before our stay were quick and not just a baby cot but a full cot bed were provided for our daughter making her stay so comfortable. Staff at every point of the day were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE with the best oat milk latte I have ever had. The pool was quiet with incredible views and the room was spacious with a comfy super king bed. I miss the hotel even now and was very sad to leave!

The Bisma Eight hotel is hands down the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to Ubud. The service from the staff is definitely top-notch, with impeccable attention to detail, a friendly attitude and the sense of nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are stunning, offering a luxurious and comfortable stay. You will find the nicest little treats like fruits and biscuits every day for you. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, they have an a la carte menu with some really good options - a perfect start to your day. Pool area is stunning and very relaxing. Overall, Bisma Eight is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in Ubud.

Romaniathe food is not that great, it's not bad, there's nothing wrong with it, but it's just fade, nothing interesting, nothing to say 'wow, this is delicious'. we stayed in a forest suite and the room was a bit to dark, there was not much natural light coming to the room
the staff is very nice and helpful, the amenities, the pool and very interesting architecture

IrelandThe gym is very small... Otherwise the place is perfect.
The list is endless... the hotel's strongest points are certainly the cleanliness and the customer service. The staff was extremely polite and prompt to help you with any requests. My sincere thanks to the kitchen staff who prepared our takeaway breakfast outside the normal hours as we had a very early check out. I also loved the idea they offer professional pictures taken in the garden.

AustraliaI loved everything.
The hospitality of the staff was next level. Breakfast was really good and fresh. Amazing amenities. Yoga classes were perfect. The villa was nice and clean and the pool was bigger than we thought. They cleaned our rooms twice a day. Drivers from the hotel team took us everywhere, excellent service and pretty safe too. Will definitely be coming back!

ItalyMaybe the suits with forest view suffered a bit from humidity that at end of the day was stucking on the bedsheets, despite the AC. But we are talking about minimal things.
Extremely clean and with great customer attention. The level of the kitchen is remarkable: breakfast and especially dinner were simply amazing. Great location.

New ZealandThe only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t stay longer!
A fabulous hotel. If you want to stay somewhere with a Bali feel that’s also modern, stylish, well located and has friendly, helpful staff then this hotel has it all. I love the mixture of building materials, the concrete, different types of timber, different tiles, the local furniture and so much greenery. It all blends so well to create an environment we’ll be back to enjoy again for sure. Our room overlooked the forest, so it was quiet with lovely views. At the other end of the hotel, by reception, you are only a few minutes walk from restaurants, bars and close to central Ubud, a very clever design to be in the thick of it, and feel far away. The pool area on the rooftop provides forest views, it’s quiet and has a bar and restaurant. Copper Kitchen on the rooftop for breakfast and dinner is a real treat. The restaurant has an excellent menu show casing local produce in a way that’s very easy for the Western palate. Really fresh and full flavoured local food in a sophisticated environment. The food is presented like artwork, with such detail and wonderful mix of flavours and colours. I could go on all day. One of my all time favourite hotels.

South KoreaThe pool water could've been slightly warmer. With the pool under shades, the water felt quite chilly.
Breakfast was amazing, and so were the spa and the 100 minute deep-tissue massage. Loved the pool in our private villa, and although not in the villas, the restaurant at Bisma Eight Hotel was the best meal I had in Bali.
