Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsRooms need a bit of an upgrade especially the bathrooms. They tried to add a new section with a new shower but the bath tub and the toilet are still from the old set so it is a bit of a mix between old and new
The moment you enter into the property you forget of the hustle bustle of the city. The garden is beautifully maintained and green (a testamen of their gardener who cut grass by hand for hours, watered the plants, picked up all day leaves from the ground), the spa with the always smiley and great masseuses meant daily massages for extremely attractive prices, the breakfast and generally restaurant was pretty good, the rooms were spacious with A/c and a small balcony, the pool was clean. When we left for Gili early in the morning, the staff prepared a take away breakfast for us. The smiley, caring and thoughtful staff across the whole resort contributed to an amazing experience and thus wholeheartedly recommend Bliss Ubud!

GermanyThe bathroom could be improved, a small renovation. Same with the room furniture, lamps, etc. The bed is really comfy. But overall it's a great place to stay and I recommend it.
The hotel is great. The staff is really kind. Restaurant, pool, common areas, all very nice. Close to the city center and the shuttle 3x a time is really helpful.

Bliss Ubud was a great place to stay. We were travelling with a family of 5 adults and the staff were so accommodating. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and felt very safe. The location of the hotel was in a prime spot, only a 5 min scooter ride into Ubud centre and a 2 min walk to a mini mart. The staff assisted with scooter rental and laundry service which were just down the road. There is a restaurant at the hotel which offered cheap food options and great drinks, room service to the pool and rooms, the breakfast included was delicious. We all tried the different spa treatments and the spa staff were great, I recommend to stay at this hotel.

New ZealandShower pressure was poor. Noise insulation between rooms was not good. Construction noise from new hotel being built next door was irritating. This should end around July / August 2024
Good Breakfast. Lovely complimentary wine and excellent complimentary massage. Beautiful grounds. Helpful staff. Nice view out over rice fields. Plenty of bird life.

United StatesThe charming resort was a peaceful retreat with excellent customer service. I appreciated the beautiful Balinese design of our private villa with pool. I love how the resort incorporates the natural surroundings throughout. Waking up every morning to the sounds of nature was a treat. The staff helped us with getting our luggage to our villa which was the furthest located one on the property.

Hong KongThe food from the restaurant was adequate, but with quite a few very good restaurants within walking distance, they need to step up their game. The spa facilities are dated and needs an overhaul. The staff were very friendly. As with the restaurant, the treatments were adequate, but we found an excellent spa close-by with better treatments.
A beautiful private villa with a pool with lots of different seating options, as well as a small kitchen with a fridge and a kettle. Located in between rice paddies, it has a very quintessential Bali feel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We could get breakfast served at our villa at the dining table and there were a lot if meal options available. There was a car/shuttle three times a day into the town centre (it's about 3km to walk in). We just had to sort out our own transport back.

AustraliaThe restaurant was very basic, very little choice and not overly tasty. The spa menu looked amazing, however the staff needed more training to complete these treatments to an acceptable standard. The hair crème also smelt awful. The staff were more than lovely

NetherlandsBathroom: the bath was clogged, the crane of the sink was leaking. Dirty smell from the sewage. In 4 nights only once the bathtowels were changed. Also no small towels to dry your hands. Expected a bit more concerning the view on the rice fields. We couldnt see anything from our terrace because of big plants. Price is a bit too high if you ask me. The service is absolute top but we expected more from our stay
Service at the hotel is superbe, like a 5 star hotel. Really amazing how hard everybody works to let you enjoy your stay.Free shuttlebus to citycenter is convenient, Although a taxi is only 100 k. Breakfast very nice!

United StatesThe spa - I got lucky with a Balinese’s massage, the girl who worked on me was great. On the other hand my wife asked for a 30 minute reflexology (foot massage) but the girl was only massaging her legs, she reminder the girl 2 times what she ordered - foot massage and was ultimately left with a sore foot that she complained about for 2 days, I don’t think she even knew what reflexology was. If you are getting a massage, you are taking your chances.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Food was great. The grounds were kept meticulously. We stayed in one of the villas with a private pool and it was super spacious and the tub was amazing.

AustraliaOnly negative was food very ordinary at dinner time but breakfast was great. We were given A free half hour massage but we were taken unceremoniously to The little rooms set away from the main spa area. There was sand on the floor, sand on my bed, and the towel had been used before. Not at all what we were expecting. We ended up having other treatments In town. We had purposely booked this resort because it was written up as a Spa Resort. There were only 2 shuttles per day into town, with none confirmed for return. It was $8 taxi fare back which is not much, but was a bit too far to walk. Management and staff were wonderful, and it was a beautiful traditional Balinese small resort. I would recommend it for a 3 day break.
