I dove with Komodo dive resort and the diving staff and dive organization were excellent. I'm 69 and have had two meniscus knee surgeries and the top steps going down to my room were over a foot deep and there was no rail. My knee didn't like that and I had to take one step at a time for my knee. Breakfast was excellent. Kitchen needs to have coffee machine working by 7 because dive boat leaves at 7:30.

After the first day we got the feeling that some of the staff just didn’t like us. We didn’t feel welcome. Also there is no late check out, which made us sweat and hang around the restaurant on our last day. We would have loved exploring the city a little and then take a shower before flying back to bali. The shower was just drizzling water… couldn’t really wash my hair.

At the arrival everyone was really nice,the organization via e-mail for the trip to komodo island was good and they were fast in responding.

We booked 2 nights in this hotel with breakfast. The rooms are in the same hall than the kitchen, that means it's loudly till they finish the service. As the first day we had a full day excursion (not with them), we asked them to prepare the breakfast for take away, they said they will keep it in the fridge and the day after we can ask the security guy to give us the breakfast boxes. Unfortunately, there were no one on the reception and the tour picked up us for the excursion. When we came back they asked us why we didn't picked up the breakfast, and we explained that we knocked the doors loudly but seems the security guard never showed up to work... Besides that, It seems we had bad luck because they had some sort of cockroach infestation, the first night we saw some dead ones in the hall, about the second one (tonight) we had to go for dinner to another place and while we were there, we figured out that they planned to fumigate everything because we heard the noise coming from the hotel and we saw the big cloud and strong smell, no one from the reception of the hotel warned us about it. We hope we can survive tonight. So far it's impossible to breathe in the room so we had to stay in the balcony for a while till the gas dissipates. That's why we don't recommend this place to stay.

Would not recommend to stay here, the rooms are right underneath the restaurant which was also a Dance floor until 10.30 at night so loud everyone jumping up and down and then when u finally get to sleep u are woken up by the kitchen which starts at 5.30/6am,

the floor is super slippery the bathroom is not well designed..no place for even keeping a bar of soap at the sink stair leading to room is super steep though thats probably not their fault wifi truly sucks at the room though it is mentioned beforehand since the room is below floor level, there is always noises from the ground level seeping into the room

To get to the room you have to go up and down terrifyingly steep stairs of different sizes - some stairs were nearly as tall as my knee, the door had a very flimsy lock, the safe was broken, breakfast was cold, there was zero sound proofing and the bed was hard. The shower wasn’t a good temperature, the room was tired and needed to be repainted and all the fixtures replaced as they were corroded, and the sheets while clean were stained.

It was close to the dock for the liveaboard. The staff were nice enough.

very very very extremely noisy. Could hear chairs scraping all day and all night in restaurant above. Kitchen was right outside our room. Constant vibration from dummy waiter taking food from kitchen to upstairs. Kitchen staff started at 5.15am, by 5.30am our room stunk of onions and could hear constant noise of whisking, scraping etc. Call to pray heard at 4.30 every morning. Grinding and hammering til midnight from next door. Water pressure non-existent. if someone else was having a shower then we got zero hot water. When we checked in and they found out we were not divers, we were just dismissed and they didn’t want to know us

Super nice staff who takes the best care of you. Nice rooms with basic comfort, nice view and nice balcony. Clean. Perfect location centrally in Labuan Bajo. Recommended, especially if you're diving with Blue Marlin Dive Centre (which you should!!)
