Budi, the owner, is the kindest host. He took care of me since the very first moment until the very end, communication via WhatsApp, which is very convenient to me. He organized the bromo tour for me and answered me many questions I had regarding different places to visit in Java and transportation. It really worth it staying in his place 2 nights. Hot shower, air conditioning and good wifi. He knows how to treat European tourists. See you in Las Ramblas!

I can’t recommend this booking more than possible. The host is absolutely a star. He picked us up from the twins station, helped us to get a driver to Vulcans bera by and sorted out bus tickets to Bali! He’s absolutely fabulous!!! Never had better host. About facilities: you got everything you need, ac works beautifully, some nice restaurants close by( 10 min walk). If you staying in this town you should book this place!

That was seriously the best place ever been in Indonesia Budi is fantastic, he will help you if you need some advices about your stay in Java. He offered us some good coffee in the morning and at arrival and offered to pick us up from train station. Room is clean, ac, TV, shower gel and shampoo included and a comfy bed Lots of warung, ATM, laundry and supermarket close by Grazie mille, ti aspettiamo in Italia

This place is worth choosing because of the host. He picked us up from the station without asking for it (free of charge) and gave us coffee/tea, explained everything about going to Bromo and etc. Very kind and helpful. The rooms are of budget standard, clean, bed was very comfortable. The price is reasonable. Defently recommend because of the host.

Has everything you need! Simple room but it’s clean, air conditioned and has a comfy bed. Super friendly host, had some lovely chats, welcome tea on arrival and a free lift to the station😃

Dont book a tour with Adrian as charges 600 ( discount apparently) but it’s basically a taxi ride to the bottom of the volcano and then gives you a “short cut” which is basically them not paying the entrance fee. When we did Ijen the next day for 300 with a tour into the crater

Budi is an excellent host who goes above and beyond for his guests! He picked us up from the train station, arranged a motorbike for us, made us coffee at 1:30 in the morning before Bromo and dropped us back at the train station the next day. The room is clean, functional, totally fine for a few nights. We whole-heartedly recommend staying here!

This is an amazing place, and the host Budi is an incredibly interesting and hospitable guy, with an erudite understanding of Indonesian history. Also Probolinggo is not only a transit hub to Bromo, the city itself is also a vivid and cordial East Java town. If you come in winter, it's really worthy to go to Bentar Beach and try your luck to see if you can spot the whale sharks.

The room was nice and clean and totally reached our expectation for a pleasant stay. Also Budi helped us out when no grab driver wanted to take us to Bromo. He picked us up and organized a friend to take us. Also he organized us Bus tickets without charging an extra fee for himself and even let us use a shower on the day we came back from Bromo even though we only stayed the night before. We are so glad we found such a nice person and a place to feel comfortable in Probolinggo which we found very overwhelming and demanding. Would always recommend!

Nice and clean room with good aircon, it was the perfect place for a good night of rest after hiking both Ijen and Bromo. Budi, the owner, is the nicest person you’ll meet. He also speaks great English, having worked abroad for years. It was really nice to have such a lovely welcome at Brak Homestay after our tiring hikes.

We loved staying here at Brak homestay. The host is very lovely always there to help and offer tea and coffee. The room is basic but has everything you need. The host helped us contact somebody to plan our mount bromo and mount ejin trip which was amazing! There is a local restaurant nearby too.

Centrally located, basic accommodation. Good for 1-2 nights stay if heading to/from Ijen. Brak, the owner was very attentive and helpful. He even drove me to the train station early in the morning.

Don't expect big luxuries as the rooms and facilities are basic. The homestay is near a busy street so we could hear noise from cars during the night. But all of this is nothing that would stop me from coming back.

For us it was the perfect accommodation to start our individualized Bromo tour from. The rooms are clean and functional, there is a warm shower and AC, but the most outstanding part is the owner of the place. He speaks good English and is just the nicest person. He drove us from and to our stations, organized a scooter for us and is a knowledgeable and friendly person without trying to sell anything. We could also leave our luggage for the night we were gone on the volcano. Would come back in a heartbeat.
