How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

WiFi didn’t work in room No hot water, not a massive con but would have been ideal to have the option. Lack of space in the bathroom to leave stuff
Location was perfect for our needs & the ferry. Staff were friendly & it was great you were able to build up a tab spent at the bar and pay at the end of your stay.

I liked everything
Perfect location with balcony overlooking the ocean. The restaurant downstairs made delicious food and outstanding coffee. Complete oceanfront where you get an ocean taxi to access surf breaks that are really fun from your doorstep. The staff provided high level hospitality and are always willing to help and have a positive attitude. Could not recommend this place highly enough.

Only a small improvement, but in the wardrobe a place to hang some clothes would've been nice.
Location was excellent for me. Close to everything on the island, or, a short scooter away to other parts. The staff at Bungalo7 were exceptional and very friendly.

For us this place has been a little too noisy sometimes due to the people partying late in the hotel's beach bar and the bathrooms used to have a strange urine-like smell in both our apartments. The hot water has not always been really... hot and also the bed sheets could have been better cleaned...
If you need scuba lessons and your standards are not too high this might be just the best place for you. Alex, the guy who is in charge of the place as well as the whole staff is very polite and friendly.

The restaurant and bar was the main highlight for me. The view is just incredible during sunset and in the morning. The food was super good too. Loved the whole stay

This place was amazing. Obviously the most special thing about this place is the location. You wake up in the morning, walk 10 steps and you are already in front of the sea. Beatiful! Incredible view and the sunset was astonishing. The room is simple but very nice. It was very clean and very comfortable.

There wasn't much that I could fault but I didn't love that there's no hot water to the property. The breakfast was on the small side and I'd have happily paid more for my stay to have had a bigger brekkie but it wasn't a big deal to go for a wander and support another local business by stopping for a second breakfast.
Honestly, Bungalow 7 was far beyond my expectations! I arrived down a back alley and wondered what I was going to walk into. I was greeted by Alex, who has exceptional English, and shown to my room overlooking the ocean. I had a beautiful balcony with a perfect view of the beach and the sunset. Breakfast was really good, a little on the smaller side but delicious! Staff were really friendly, the accomodation was clean and the location couldn't have been any better! Onsite restaurant had a great variety of delicious food.

Fantastic location right on the beach. The staff were amazing and organised a snorkelling trip for us as well as a scooter for a day. We will definitely stay here again

Bathroom needed some maintenance in terms of hot water (couldn't get any) and spray gun beside toilet broken.
Good location. Great view. The manager was friendly. Nice food and a fantastic Margarita watching sunset. Lovely place to spend the evening with a nice pool too. I appreciated the nice new towels.

Bathroom smelt slightly of chlorine but think that’s because it’s in an island.
Right on the beach front with the most stunning views at all times of the day from sunrise to sunset. Lots of bean bags on the beach front. Room was big and clean, good aircon.

The walls in the bathroom are dirty. And the smell from toilet and sinks is not nice
