The location is quite hidden so it’s hard to order online taxis. Food delivery is possible though.

The house was amazingly equipped for chilling and cooking. You find any equipment you’d wish for. It is big enough for a group of six people and offers great views of the lake. Due to its hidden location, it’s very quite and one is able to see a lot of stars at night. The host was very welcoming and friendly and provided all the information we needed.

You would have entire 2-flour house, which is really quite place to stay. You would even observe the lake from the second flour, spectacular view.

As we didn’t hire a car and were off the main, we only had access to private guides for transport and there was only one restaurant that would deliver to us. This meant that we had to be very organised for meals and transport. I’m not telling you this to put you off - I highly recommend Buyan Lodge - either hire a car, or if you don’t have a car, learn from us and be organised - I’m sure you’ll love it!

The location was quiet and had a nice view. The host was great - very helpful and responsive to any messages I sent.

Extremely comfortable, cosy and clean villa overlooking the beautiful lake Buyan. The amenities were all complete and there were so many small grocery stores less than 5 minutes away. We loved that it was in a very quiet and tucked away corner, but so so close to many fun activities and sights! Lake Beratan, Dusun Bedugul Asri Farm, Rumah Gemuk and the Handara Country Club were on the same street and all stunningly beautiful and alot of fun with amazing classy but affordable restaurants! We were strawberry picking nearby and loved that we came back to a super clean, cosy and comfy villa! The owner is extremely friendly and warm, and kind. We will be back to stay here for sure, very soon!

It's not a complaint to the place, but just a friendly advice to the travelers - don't use google maps navigation for motorbikes, only for cars! It'll take you through the jungle (I don't even understand how this "road" is in google maps), and you might as well need a medicine afterwards

The place is wonderful, so quite and peaceful. Hosts helped with everything, including finding some medicine and connection to the smart tv, very appreciated!

Cleanliness, lovely staff, who helped us a lot at a personal request. It can be seen that the house is being looked after, the furniture is in good condition. Very quiet and calm location.

Well, we knew it was self catering, so we had come prepared with easy to cook food, but there were a couple issues. First we could not find a frying pan, and then only one of the three stove tops was working, so we had to fry all our chops in a big pot, and cook the potatoes in the microwave. We also had a bit of a problem with some of the plugs and and the hot water upstairs not working.

Very comfortable with a great view of the lake from upstairs, which is what we were looking for. The smart TV allowing us to access Disney+ and other platforms was quite a bonus too.

As many have said, be prepared that this location is far away from the main road. Every driver who ferried us kept saying that 😑 Handing over of keys and payment details could have been much more streamlined, we took quite a while to get that sorted on the first day. But kudos to the owner for being accommodating.

Buyan Lodge is a beautifully appointed house with a wonderful view of the lake. Evidently a lot of care was taken to make this a wonderful home away from home - it was very comfortable, well equipped and nicely furnished. A extremely peaceful and quiet stay.

Unfortunately, the bathroom ceiling was full of mould and very smelly. You could clearly see and smell the mould in the bathroom and it transferred to the living room and bedrooms. Water was dripping from the ceiling in our bedroom into a bucket that had been put out. Not so nice to sleep next to dripping water.

The house itself was nice, clean and with great views over the lake.
