How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room lacks of light and cleaness in the bathroom, it could be better.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The location of the hostel is convenient.

Bathroom has no ventilation
I stayed for one week, the staff are very nice and helpful, the location is fantastic near to Kuta beach, Near by all the services and restaurants, nice big pool, Rooms are clean, price is cheap

the tap was sinking, the internet sometimes was not great, no temperature control in the showers, the breakfast was not fulfilling and the coffee could be more flavorable. I needed to be patient also with other guests, who were sometimes a bit loud

Internet was bad, on and off regurlarly.
Location is really good, close to the beach, restaurants and bars but still quiet at night. Staff is helpful and will try to sort out things for you.

The bathroom was a little smelly and dirty
The pool was refreshing and nice with all the plants around it. The staff was quiet but friendly. The breakfast was good. The guesthouse was not facing a main street thats why it was quiet and makes you feel comfortable and save.

The was a massive cockroach 🪳 in the room. The breakfast wasn't big enough.
The staff were nice and the pool was lovely. It was cheap.

The pillows were sad and past their prime. No chair in the room and the cupboard didnt open.

Room was way too hot, fans weren't able to cool it down. Shower was cold water only and barely some pressure on it. There was a device outside that kept me awake the whole night because it was making too much noise. However it's cheap I wouldn't say it's worth the price.

I know this budget room but the room was worse than basic, the worst of it was the bed was very uncomfortable, it gave me a bad back, the pillow was flat as a pancake, the fan was rubbish, it was actually one of the worst rooms I have stayed in in years and it wasn't real clean. Not a good night's sleep. Many mosquitos if you opened the door to let air in which I was quite surprised about because not normally many mosquitos around here, and it's dry season...,🤨. Sorry, that's how it is.
The pool area was quite nice. They let us pay on the second day which is reasonable enough...

The room was super basic with virtually no adornments whatsoever. Even the bed was completely empty without a blanket, and there were no paintings or accessories whatsoever. Literally just an empty room with a bed and four white walls, and a fan.
The bed was comfortable and the central Kuta location was excellent, being very close to the airport.

The pool space is just the pool, not one single chair to sit or lay down. The room description said 2 beds and pool view, there was 1 bed and I was put at the last room, only view was to the noisy street. Also due to the room location there was no Wifi in the room, if I had to use the internet I had to stay in the middle of the corridor area with other guests passing. Staff not friendly. Also woke up with a bunch of ants

Wifi was very bad. At reception it was slow but I guess working, and the booster to my floor (2nd) didn’t work. I had to position my laptop in a certain way in order to get 2 bars of signal from 3rd floor, even then it cut out every minute or so

The rooms are very hot, no AC, the ventilator is louder than a street full of bikes. My sheet smelled like men Parfum. The guy next door listened to music loudly all night and kept his door open. Pretty uncomfortable. Also a party crew returned a 6am in the morning and was very noisy for over one hour. The hotel staff didn’t bother about it
The pool is great surrounded my amazing plants. The location is in the center and appears quiet
