The 2 bedrooms are small and there is an open access area to the en-suite bathrooms that is only closed by curtains. Therefore, the AC doesn’t work very well in terms of cooling the bedroom down to the temperature that is comfortable for sleeping. The 2nd night was better but we had to leave the AC on all day which we do not like in order to keep open bedroom area cool. Also the doors that lead to both bedrooms are broken and not sealed - with large gaps which means the warm air is constantly coming in. The other problem is by the pool. There are only two sun lounges and yet this property accommodates 4. All very easy for the owner to fix.

The views are breathtaking and the property is spacious and bright. There is plenty of room in the lounge and dining areas with an open plan design. The property was super clean and the staff are really friendly, helpful and easily contactable.

Having to leave!

The view from the villa was absolutely stunning. Unobstructed ocean and volcano views. We passed many hours staring out to sea, watching the boats pass by and the ever changing colours of the sky and ocean. Dolphins swam by several times. The villa was extremely private as there are no neighbours on either side or directly behind. The plunge pool was our favourite place to spend time next to and swim in, taking in the stunning views. The villa was extremely clean, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were cool and comfortable. Mushroom Bay was a short stroll away and there we found great restaurants and a beautiful swimming beach. Sunset Point was also a great place to visit at sunset for drinks and dinner, only 3 mins walk from the villa Vica, our beautiful host, was an absolute gem. She organised our ferry and transfers to and from the villa, day hire of a golf buggy where she negotiated a better price for us, and anything else we needed to make our stay amazing. Thank you, Vica. 🙏 The value for money was incredible. We will be back, this time for longer!

As an Airbnb super host myself I felt that this villa could easily be a 10 if a little money was spent on some basic items. I understand that being so close to the sea is a challenge. Sun Lounges could use updating and a/c in the living area would be nice. The bathrooms are in need of an upgrade and the water in the showers were a trickle. Beds were a bit firm and the pool is small (but did the job for us), some napkins/paper towels or tea towels would be beneficial too for wiping up.

This property was lovely. Those with mobility issues may struggle however as there are a lot of stairs along with a dirt/rocky road to get to the property (not a complaint just and FYI). Close to Mushroom Bay, 10 minute walk or 2 minutes on a scooter and quite a direct route. Our host was lovely and accommodating and nothing was too much hassle for her. The views are incredible and this is what you're paying for. There were no surprises at the property so the description and other reviews are pretty correct. There is a/c in bedrooms only so the main living area is quite hot especially with the afternoon sun beaming in. Water was included so that's a bonus along with the reasonably priced snacks and drinks in the fridge. It was a lovely stay.

Just 2 things : 1. the villa is called Shambala like other villa near by there is other with the same name. It is confused when you try to find your villa. 2. There is not breakfast provided but you have a full kitchen to cook, and Ita will help you for delivering food from plenty of restaurants near by. (note: DO NOT eat in the restaurant villa Belba,it’s the villa close to our villa but the products cooked were rotten :(

Amazing peaceful place in the middle of a calm south Asian waters. If you are looking for a high quality place surrounded by sea, that’s your place. Dive, snorkel, massage or just relax in front of stunning ocean views with sunset and sunrise too. This luxury villa has everything that you can need. Please see my photos attached. We stayed long and we really loved it. I live in Bali for more than 10 years and we always visit villas in different spots around Bali. This villa make a difference. Ita, the staff, is a super staff doing everything for you with just an idea on mind: your maximum comfortability. Clean towels and sheets every time, same for the swimming pool and villa. Fully recommended

We recently stayed at this villa, which unfortunately started on the wrong foot due to a name conflict. There are two villas with identical names close to each other, and our host failed to inform us about this, leading us to the wrong property initially. This caused significant confusion and stress, as we couldn’t enter the villa we thought was ours. To make matters worse, none of the contact numbers provided for the property were operational. We were left stranded without any way to reach the host to clarify the situation. When we finally located the correct villa, the host offered no apology or compensation for the inconvenience caused, simply stating they were aware of the name issue but couldn’t do anything about it. Also we encountered two large rats in the living room. More concerning was an encounter with a snake right at the entrance door one night. The overall experience was marred by unprofessionalism and a lack of consideration from the host. The issues we faced could have been easily avoided or remedied with better communication and customer care. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this property. The potential for a pleasant stay is overshadowed by the host's neglect and the safety concerns we encountered.

Villa is poorly maintained. Towel rack kept falling off the wall. Gate lock fell off the wall so we couldn’t lock gate. Out door shower is in unusable as the water shoots out rust holes in the top, which was a pain as we often came home sandy. There is a big grotty stain ingrained in the tiles in kitchen near fridge. Shower wouldn’t regulate. First day was so hot we couldn’t stay under shower. We reached out to owner and it was adjusted so we only had cold water. Sheets and bedding was not washed / replaced in two week stay. Stay cost $4130 AUD for two weeks which was comparatively overpriced for the standard of accomodation. Paid for the view.

Villa is on cliff top and the view over the ocean is stunning. Property is off the beaten track and somewhat isolated which suited us. We had scooters so being away from everything was not a problem and we enjoyed the solitude. Staff organised scooters at great price. Villa was functional.

The location of the villa on the booking.com map does not match the real location on the villa. It is not close to the beach as indicated, it is 30 metres from a cliff which overlooks the ocean, but you cannot access the beach from here. It is quite a walk to Mushroom bay along a rocky track , maybe 400m or 3-4 mins on a motorbike
