Wonderful place immersed in nature, very spacious hostel and crazy comfortable beds. The people that come to that place are amazing. Dedi and his wife are wonderful caring and funny host. The homemade meals are delicious! 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent stay! The bedroom and bed are big, very clean, there are shower towels and free mineral water. You can also rent a motorcycle there. Dedi and his wife helped me a lot with my tour, they are very kind people. I really recommend it!

For us, this wasn't a problem but know that you need a scooter for sure to travel around here. Otherwise you're somewhat stuck in the Hostel. But they can help you with that too ;)

Really nice place and vibe to stay a few days in the Munduk area. Everyone here is also really friendly and helpful, especially Dedi.

That I had to leave!

This is the best hostel I have stayed in so far. The beds are large and comfortable, the breakfast is great (especially the banana pancake) and the view from the balconies is beautiful. The best part are the owners Dedi and Wina. They are such lovely and caring people making sure everyone is included and looked after. They go above and beyond in everything that they do. I can't ride a scooter and they made sure I could still see all the places I hoped to see. It really felt like a home away from home and you'll always have a smile on your face when Dedi is around!

Believe the reviews!! This place is wonderful, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds with crisp, fresh linen and heavenly soft towels.. Fantastic communal places to chill out with hammocks and a pool table and 5-10 minutes from wonderful rice terraces and waterfalls with no one around.. Dedi speaks very good English and will help you with all of your needs.. I rode here on my own motorbike but they rent them here and this is definitely the best way to explore the stunning countryside in this area.. 100% recommend Desa Hostel 😊

A beautiful hostel located in the green and lush countryside of Munduk. I had a great stay here and extended twice my stay. The owner and the staff is super friendly and they offer delicious breakfast and dinner. They can also arrange any tour or taxi you need during your stay. The beds are big and comfy, I slept like a baby. To get to the place you need a scooter, there is no grab around but you can ask for a local taxi. I met other travelers while staying and really enjoyed the quietness of the place.

This is the nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff is incredible (Dedi basically helped me plan my whole trip), you are welcomed with a complimentary hot drink, the food from their kitchen is some of the best I’ve had in Bali, the beds are incredibly comfortable, the art and design around the place are super tasteful and homey, the towels are like blankets, I could go on.

I’m nitpicking but the only thing that could be improved is the wifi connection.

You really can’t go wrong with this place. The owner and hotel manager (Dedi) go above and beyond for every guest. I was a little sick during my stay and they looked after me like family. The beds are super comfortable, everything is really clean and spacious and there’s a restaurant on site that’s very affordable! Dedi will give you tips for what to see in the local area and might even show you his local village nearby! It’s really quiet at night so you’re guaranteed to sleep well but it’s also a lovely social hostel because there are really only a few spaces to hang out. 10/10 stay

Putu Dedi is the best! He is full of information on the Balinese people, food, and culture. Extremely friendly and a funny guy as well. I really enjoyed talking with him. The beds are amazing and big, towels are super soft and fluffy, this place is a small paradise. Anything you want to do or need help planning - Dedi has the answers! The food is great here too - Many satisfied guests when I was staying there.

WiFi is less than ideal. Spotty, and cuts out a lot.

The property was beautiful, not that big but enough to where you don’t feel cramped. With a few outdoor hangout spots all covered overhead, it’s so easy to be outside while enjoying the hostel. The rooms are really nice, the beds are large (each with an outlet and light), the bathrooms are well maintained, and there’s plenty of room to walk around, spread your stuff (kind of), and hang with friends. Plus there’s a balcony which is stunning. An amazing place.

This place, these people.. I felt like home. They were so caring. The words down below can’t even describe the experience. The first day I came just after a small bike accident Vina helped me a lot. She brought me ice, desinfection, helped me with my stuff.. The other day I was a bit sick and since then Dedi or Vina always brought me their special magical tea, gave me an eucalypt “medicine” etc. They created for me an amazing atmosphere for healing. There were bananas and other fruits as a gift on every table and also water refill station. The owner also allowed me to go in their kitchen to cook my own food! The room was very nice and bright. There’s a lot of space around the beds. Also a locker if you need. Big, very comfortable bed, also a comfortable pillow! Very clean bed sheets and towels. It felt more like a hotel. The bed has great thick curtains so it’s really dark in the night. Also - because in Munduk is more cold during the night, there’s no need to use AC. It was enough to open the doors and let the fresh air flow. There were no mosquitos! Amazing! In the bathroom are 3 showers and toilets, clean, nice and there’s enough of hot water 🤍 The terrace is huge and there’s enough space for moving, dancing, chilling in a group.. Also there’s a “couch”. The garden around is beautiful, full of plants, there’s a lot of space to sit and work and there are also hammocks. The area around is surrounded by rice fields and nature. It’s about 10-15mins by scooter to get somewhere (shops/restaurants..), so it’s easier to have a bike. Dedi also made me a tour of his place and surroundings, showed me a lot about their culture and invited me for a wedding pre-ceremony.

Dedi was just amazing. Very helpful, friendly and ready to share his knowledge. The food was really nice too, just make sure they spice up your meal if you like it as the locals do :) Good and cheap local massage next door

This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The beds are outstanding in comfort and beauty, there are many places to relax and come to rest. The neighbourhood is quiet in the evenings and the nights and that makes for a good rest. The bed linen is so soft, towels are provided, showers are spacious and clean, all really very good. The best was the atmosphere, with Dedi making me feel so welcome and comfortable and was such nice company to have around and to take care. also they serve a good breakfast and the other food they serve is also very tasty and not expensive. yes the hostel is a bit away from the main touristic street, but it's just a short (and beautiful) scooter ride away so actually that does not matter at all regarding what awaits you when you at the hostel. I would give 10 stars if I could and I stayed longer then originally planned :) Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

In the best hostel in which I have stayed in Bali, more than a hostel seemed a Hotel. Beautiful Balinese construction, clean and the food was delicious. A thousand thanks to Dedi, the manager, an amazing person who made my stay in Munduk the best possible, he took a friend with me. Thank you thank you thank you thank you, looking forward to coming back to this place so hermoso🙏🏽🫶🏼🌞
