How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

shower didn’t really work, the head was blocked so only a few strings of water came out. wifi could be faster.
staff were great, location and pool were absolutely perfect! beds were comfy and all have a good sized balcony. very clean and housekeeping was good. rooms all come with kettle and fridge.

- the bathroom needs a proooooper cleaning - it’s located next to the street, so there is a lot of honking of the cars and dogs barking going on

The hotel has clearly suffered since Covid and is dated, needing a bit of a refresh and clean in the communal areas. There is irregular hot water. The restaurant and rooftop bar area are closed.
The pool is lovely and well maintained and the hotel provides 24/7 reception and free drinking water. The room cleaning service is good.

Dirty and run down needs a good clean. Sheets were marked and air con was loud Bathroom was dated and in need of a deep clean, the bin was so dusty It was a shoe on job to press the pedal. The shower head barely worked with blocked holes. Yes this is a budget hotel but a standard of cleanliness should be expected regardless of rating.. Also no breakfast or dining facilties

our safe and air con both didn’t work, but the man on receptions was happy to move us to another room.
Overall our stay was great, close to the beach and a short taxi ride away to the main area of Seminyak. Staff were also helpful. Great value for money

The bathroom needs an up grade it smells. The facilities they have wer'nt open.ie bar resturant.

there was a stale unpleasant smell in the room. hot water was barely warm. little flies in the room.
not located on a noisy street. so managed to get good rest after traveling around. essential mini Marts are easy to get to. central seminyak is not far by bike. the pool is beautiful and lovely to relax by. staff were friendly and helpful.

Lack of privacy in pool view room. Had to keep blinds drawn most of the time.
Pool was fantastic and bed was comfy. What more can one ask for for a short budget stay. Kitchen and rooftop bar are not presently operational. We were however able to take our own drinks up to the rooftop to enjoy the sunset views. Reception had warned it was not up to usual scratch as they didn’t not have it cleaned at the moment but it was not an issue for us. We loved laying on the lounges with our drinks and watch the sun go down. Location is great - not far to walk to shopping / food and there are a few wurungs in the area that serve decent local food. Gede and the rest of the reception crew were amazing.

The photos on the internet are a little deceiving. The bed is small for two people. The bathroom got clogged on the first day.

No lift and light is too low. The corridor is dark no proper lighting. Hardly to remove the key from the keybox on the door.
The room is big and the mini bar was nice.
