Dewa Bharata feels like coming home. The staff are almost like family, always smiling, always helpful. Yes it's an older style resort, a little basic by todays standards. But it's authentic Bali and great value for money.

The location, although central, was not the safest for a solo female traveler. The property was down an alleyway and the street vendors around were very pushy and aggressive.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The pool was great too and beautiful gardens.

The bathroom was a bit to work with.

The grounds were great, and the staff was as friendly as a 5 star. The location was brilliant. The beds were clean, and the room done cleaned each day. For what we paid for the room is what you get.

Bathrooms are clean but could do with a little up dating. However, for the price, one should not expect everything to be a modern amenity.

Garden and pool area are very pleasant. Being off the main road means the hotel is quiet. Rooms are spacious, older style but comfortable. Good value for the price.

The curtains in room four didn't really cover the window, could be useful information for voyeurs I guess. The bedside drawer was broken. The broken panel was just placed on top, waiting for a carpenter to check into the room I imagine.

I arrived late at night and left before dawn, but, got the impression it's the kind of place where ambrosia and nectar flows freely and goddesses lounge by the pool waiting to satisfy your every whim. Could be wrong, bloke with no teeth on reception seemed nice enough, think I woke him up.

When I booked I had 2 option, superior room (older style) or double room with Pool view ( newer style). I thought with what I'd paid I was going into the newer rooms. I did look at the newer room on checkout and they are nice.

Location is excellent. Right near all clubs, restaurants but very quiet at night. The pool area is lovelly Room was old style cleaned every day. I think I should have been put into one of the newer room for the price I paid. I would stay here again but in the newer room.

Even though it says there is somebody at the reception 24/7 there was nobody when we showed up and had to call them on their phone. But to be fair, we only went there after partying at about two in the morning, because the way back to our original accommodation was too long.

The property has potential to be 10, but at present it is lacking. Great attentnd ion is paid to the gardens but rooms are not properly cleaned. The beds always look nice but floors and bathrooms don't get enough attention. There are TVs, but only Indonesian language channels are provided. I asked if there might be an English language channel and the owner provided one, but another staff member changed it to an indonesian music channel some hours later and it was never returned to the English language channel. Most disappointing is that the property is not being maintained adequately. The bathrooms need work because at present the showers spread water widely and it is causing wood around doors etc to rot. I am sorry to be critical because I like this place. but someone needs to step in and lift the standards to allow this property to reach its potential.

Dewa Bharata has excellent character, with Balanese-style archicture including Hindu shrines, lovely gardens, a nice swimming pool, and a pleasant dining area. It is very close to many restaurants, bars, nightspots and shops .... and yet it is always peaceful and quiet inside the walled garden. It is also easy walking distance to the beach and its also easy to rent a motor scooter at the property and other cheap transport is readily available.

The rooms could of been a little cleaner and done with an update, especially the bed head.

A little hidden Gem....The rooms a little tired, but clean enough. Everyone was helpful and friendly. I especially liked the gardens that surrounded the pool. It is back from the main road so was nice a quiet... All up great value for money

Reception says 24hrs but no where was there to check me in at 2am even though I emailed before hand. Wasn’t anyone really during the day either - often had to go look for someone.

Location was good, staff were really nice and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and the pool was cute so was the whole vibe here. Very simple but had the cute Balinese bungalow feel.

if you are digital Nomad or even normal social media freak the internet here is so weak, better to buy a sim card instead of using it here. Kettle in the room would be also good idea. Apart from that all good:)

The location is great! you are in the centre not far away from busy road but there is so quiet! nice restaurants with decent prices, people are very friendly, room was cleaned every day, nice big swimming pool and garden. you can also rent a bike from here. nice size of the room with 2 desks
