Dingy room and grubby bathroom. You wouldn’really t want to hang out in the room - it was too dark and ugly but it was ok to sleep in. The bathroom felt a bit like an unloved public toilet - I don’t mind simple or dated but this was just a bit squalid. The next door hotel Natya hotel is a completely different experience - really pleasant - for more or less the same price. If I’d have known I’d have just visited Tanah Lot on a day trip - the centre is just full of tacky tourist stalls and poor restaurants all selling the same thing. It dies off after 8pm so there’s either too much tourist bustle or it’s dead! The beach area and the temple itself are amazing of course; it’s just a shame that the tourist authorities and planners allowed their heritage to be squandered in this way

Located very close to Tanah lot. Away from traffic. Nice staff

A fair walk down hill to the room from reception. Unfortunately my wife and I were slightly incompacitated so our comments may be reflected in how much pain we were in at the time.

A very old basic hotel. facilities available were fair to good but old....

Pool water left green on skin and swimwear. Location is too far from main area of Canggu. Not much choice in food restaurants. Had to pay 60,000 rph each just to get to the accommodation as this was the entrance fee for the gate (there is also another fee to enter Tanah Lot temple). We stayed in a standard double the first night and this was nicer than the deluxe double. The deluxe we found outdated - shower was too low to stand under and the piping was so short to even hold the shower head. The bathroom had a horrible smell and there were more bugs (ants and midges) in the deluxe than we found in the standard.

Great location if you want to visit Tanah Lot Temple. Staff were really accommodating and friendly. Pool area was lovely. Some nice shops for clothes etc. Only a half an hour walk to The Beach Love - great spot for sunset.

We booked for two nights, and we spent only one. The temple is full of visitors in the day. However in night it becomes like a ghost town everyone closes at nine and as a night life lover it was very boring for me.

The room was quiet, and staff were okay.

The apartment was very dated. The minibar was empty and there was no kettle on the room. The smell of burning waste came into my room day and night, which was horrible. I hope the hotel can find a better solution for its waste soon. Breakfast was not included, and there were very limited options.

The location is great, within walking distance from all the local attractions. The bed was comfy.

Swimming pool doesn't open. Shower water is a big problem, less water made you feel crazy. Remember all restaurants(including hotel's restaurant) and shop were closed at 6 pm.

Prefect location for Tenan Lot. You can use "Grab app" for hiring taxi to other location. thanks for all nice staff.

It was dirty, old, and decrepit. Not the staff's fault, it looked like it used to be nice but no internet, dirty room and the old facilities were not up to standard. Only three rooms were booked in whole place and they put us next to each other as well....

The staff was nice and the food at the restaurant was also quite nice.

We booked a deluxe room but it was nothing special. The bathroom was really old and partly not clean. One could not stand while having a shower, since the tube is just too short. On the booking website the hotel has a pool, but their pool was dirty and under renovation... so maybe it will be nice in 2 months or so...

Great and beautiful garden and Tempel area are part of the hotel. Really quiet and relaxing.

The hotel's charm is marred by a lack of hospitality from most staff, with only a few gardeners standing out for their kindness. The restaurant, despite its reputation, disappoints with overrated offerings and additional fees, a common trend in the temple area. The aging infrastructure becomes evident in the bathroom, where water issues persist, requiring maintenance for the toilet flush and resulting in inconvenient leaks. While the surroundings may be picturesque, the overall experience is hindered by these drawbacks.

Nestled within the sacred confines of the temple, our stay at the Tanah Lot Hotel was a unique and enchanting experience. The hotel exudes an amazing energy, making it a serene escape for those seeking a connection with history. While the rooms were simple yet satisfactory, the entire establishment, although aged, radiated undeniable charm. The pool, although appearing non-functional, possessed a breathtaking aesthetic adorned with captivating statues, flourishing trees, and vibrant flowers. It was a testament to the hotel's commitment to preserving the beauty of its surroundings. The bathroom, admittedly, bore the marks of time, but this was a minor flaw in comparison to the overall allure of the place. Visitors should be aware of the entrance fee to the temple, a reasonable investment for the multiple entries granted. The temple itself, situated within the sea and featuring a holy spring with fresh water, is an awe-inspiring spectacle. Our luck granted us the opportunity to walk to the temple during low tide, a truly memorable experience. Within the temple grounds, a plethora of shops and restaurants awaited exploration, providing a vibrant atmosphere and a chance to immerse oneself in the local culture. In conclusion, the Tanah Lot Hotel offers a unique blend of tranquility, history, and natural beauty, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a memorable stay in this sacred destination.
