The shower could use a movable handshower. There is only a fixed, top shower. Some things in restaurant were untasty, like chicken 5 spices or tofu teryiaki. It would be helpful to have the "please clean/do not disturb" hangers for door, as now it is a lottery when someone will knock the door to clean. I would appreciate a coffee machine. Now there is only a ground coffee you can pour hot water on.

The owners are very nice and helpful, helped me organize a taxi, massage, and boat rental, and allowed to borrow a canoe and snorkeling equipment for free. Very close, there are already some coral and fish, enough for enjoyable snorkeling. A but further, but easily reachable with fins or a boat, there is a proper, big reef. Even further (boat rental needed but it is cheap), there is a small island with stunning coral reef. Restaurant food was mixed, but some things were really good, like fried noodles/rice or chicken in coconut milk sauce. Breakfasts were good, especially pancakes. They take ecology seriously, not only by name. They implemented a lot of ecological solutions. Overall, it was a great stay in a nice bungalow and in a lovely surroundings. All the time I've felt taken care of. I recommend it to anyone visiting Karimunjawa.

The island is not that remote as one would expect, there is some scooter traffic and sadly some filthy neighbours.

The property. Grounds are really nice, beautiful and well maintained. Direct access to a peaceful and bright blue sea. The restaurant. Makes great local (had the best Nasi Goreng ever) and some international dishes at very affordable prices. You can get fresh fish daily depending on the catch. The cabin. Really great balcony, well laidout cabin and a very spacious bathroom. Surroundings. The sea was very calm and really warm (visited on February). There are a few piers around to use for going in to the sea at deeper level. Most beautiful coral riefs just on the next small island accesible by a fishing boat in 20 minutes.

The sea is on that part of the island is little too shallow.

We had a great time at Eco Casa Resort. Stephan and Estera are great hosts. Breakfast was included. And the rest of the food on the menu was delicious. Rooms are spacious, extra clean. The entire property is very well maintained. All in all, its a little tropical paradise.

It would be nice to add some cushions to the lounge chairs on the beach.

Beautiful new cottages on a clean white sand beach. Owners were very accommodating and flexible, helping us with everything we needed. Organized a fun snorkeling trip for us that picked us up right on our own beach! Property is on the other side of the island, but we rented a motorcycle from them every day to tour around the island which we loved. The remote feeling of the resort is amazing. Sustainability efforts are a plus as well.

An idyllic, remote and picturesque location within a natural reserve. Every single beach photo looks stunning. The accommodations are built from local materials in an environmentally sympathetic, sustainable way, whilst accommodating to all modern needs. The friendly hosts are amazing. They can support our plans for island hopping, shark viewing, borrowing a local canoe & snorkelling equipment (both free) through to laundry services, extra mosquito protection etc. etc. Excellent restaurant where we ate 3 times a day! They even let us in the kitchen to show us a couple of our favourite recipes, very kind and generous with their time. This is a small scale accommodation which allows you fully relax and unwind in stunning nature.

Best location, the location is not close to the center but thats makes the resort is more calm, more quiet and more relaxing. The resort is on the beach, we can immediately swim and play on the seashore. The property used an unique traditional concept and they used recycles boats for the building materials

It’s quite a scooter drive (30 min I believe) from the ferry harbour and other restaurants. Meaning closeby there was less to do other than snorkelling (which was great!). No big deal, but good to know!

Is a very pretty location, it feels like a dream. You can snorkel right at their own beach and even see a few nemo’s. Nearby there are also more extremely pretty coral reefs. Best snorkelling place I’ve been to so far! They have their own food, provide nice service and are very friendly. Especially considering that when travelling to the island, I got sick and was therefor delayed for a few days. They were super flexible and helpful. Thanks again for this!

Bungalows are spacious, convenient and nicely decorated. AC and WiFi are working well. Staff is very friendly. Beach is nice and clean, there is a boat for guests to use. Breakfast was tasty with a few options to choose from. Overall we were very happy with our stay in Eco Casa and would definitely recommend.

Beautiful resort, Ester and Stefano were really nice and welcoming and the food was amazing! They helped us out with possible activities, transport, a snorkeling tour,... The atmosphere was super relaxed, nice people all around the place If you want to go diving, go to Kemujan Divers, it's super close to the hotel and they are amazing as well.

We had a great stay at Eco Casa Resort! It is very new and everything is perfectly organized. The food is really good, the beach is beautiful and clean and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Above all, Ester and Stefano were very helpful and kind, they helped us with transport (scooter and taxi), a private boat tour and even with the preparations of a proposal. We would highly recommend this place and we hope to come back one day:).

We stayed for six nights and we were very impressed by the Resort. The location is perfect, far away for all the trouble in the city, perfect escape if you looking for some quiet place :) The Resort has a beautiful beach, a spacious room, and a comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. There were many options to choose from, both local and international cuisines. They can also support you with transportation from and to the harbour, as well as booking snorkeling tours. The hotel also has nice small boats where you can have ride with. It is very clean and well-maintained, and the service is top-notch. I would highly recommend this Resort to anyone visiting Karimunjawa.

Amazing location right at the beach run by really hardworking and very friendly owners. Italian cuisine mixes with the local so you have a great choice. You can also order fresh fish (needs preorder) bought directly from fishermen. Ester and Stefano also help you with short trips to the adjacent islands for snorkelling, you can rent a scooter, get your wash done…. We simply couldn’t wish for more!

One of the best stays in the world! Totally recommend it. And the owners are so lovely and helpful and also organize boat and snorkeling trips directly from the beach. It was perfect, the beach, the cabins, and omg the food! 😉 Italien and Indonesian cuisine which was also really really good!!!

Eco Casa is a really good place to stay. It’s a bit further from the town, but the bungalows are new and really good. The owners are helping with everything. They also have a scooter rental which makes it easy to go around. The beach at the resort is beautiful! It’s clean, has high palm trees, white sand and super blue water. Then the food, it’s amazing! Everything we ate was super nice, especially the fresh fish was so good! We also ate lobster and the preparation was perfect! As the resort was full we later moved to the other side of the island and we really realised the food was nowhere better than at Eco Casa. A yes also try the coffee on their menu! They are Italians so good coffee is guaranteed!

Probably the most beautiful accommodation in Karimunjawa, with a beautiful beach, which at this time of year shows its most beautiful colors in the middle of the day. At low tide it is also possible to swim from the nearby pier. I recommend a trip that can be shared with others and includes snorkeling on the nearby islands, the corals are beautiful! One bright spot of this accommodation is the excellent food, both Indonesian and authentic Italian, also barbecue fish. The owners are extremely friendly and you will feel at home. Drinking water is always available, as are coffee and tea. They can organize paid transportation for your arrival, but if you come with your own vehicle, see the signs for the neighboring Royal Ocean Hotel, Google maps doesn't bring you right till the end of Eco Casa resort location. It is good if you have a scooter to explore the island.

Indonesia's main problem is the plastic garbage. The beach in front of the hotel is always kept clean but when you move further you will spot it on the shore and even on the grass. I hope the Indonesian government starts managing the situation.

The Owners are really kind and supportive. The location is quite far from the main village and it is really quiet. We were looking for a place to spend some days with no rush. It really was the right place. Gorgeous view, private beach, beautiful and comfortable lodges, and great food. We hope to come back
