Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It is a bit far away from the main track but once you get there you would like to stay for a week. It wonderfull silent and connecting perfektly with the surrounding Nature. The food is simply fantastic. Not cheap but worth every RP.

Location is lovely. The food is amazing. Fresh and made with local ingredients. We loved each meal. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the island. The owners are kind and very friendly. We loved every minute in here. Everything was homecooked and made we love. There is no plastic and waste in here and there is free water to have at all times.

We had a wonderful stay at Sumba Dream! The scenery is very relaxing and the beach is just a few steps away. The location is far away from everything but that's part of why we chose to stay there. It's really peaceful and Blandine's cooking skills are truly next level! You won't stay hungry, trust me :) We hired a driver that was recommended to us and we're very happy with his service too. It's so worth it to go on a day trip and explore nature in East Sumba! The tide was very low during our stay, so unfortunately a snorkeling trip wasn't possible. In the end that didn't bother us because overall the time at Sumba Dream ecoresort was just perfect. Thank you so much, Blandine and Laurent!

NetherlandsIt is so secluded that it is hardly possible to go anywhere on your own. Be aware of that when you book and enjoy the beautiful silence.
A very secluded place with the beach all to yourself. Lovely hosts! They will take very good care of you, help you out with tours and the next leg of your Sumba experience and they will make sure you feel at home. Beautiful bungalows with great beds and good bathrooms. A short stroll from the beach and the magical mangrove. You will be pampered with french style food, everything home made.

AustriaThe road to reach the place, the pin on google maps was completing wrong, we got lost on the way and the owner did not give any directions before arriving. She should at least change the route on google maps or have bigger signs to mark the road Also, the owner was a bit mean, when trying to ask her some information about the place, she used to tell us to wait because she doesn’t have time. Also, her attitude was defensive and arrogant most of the time, felt uncomfortable there and we even left one day earlier
