We really enjoyed our stay here! The hotel is very comfortable and clean, the terrace overlooking the river and the jungle was definitely our highlight. The breakfast in the morning is very big and fills you up for the day.

Nothing at all, the entire experience was amazing from start to finish, I wouldn't change a thing :)

From the moment we arrived at medan airport the eco tour team were amazing, the drive in to bukit lawang while long was made enjoyable and easy by Rimba who picked us up from the airport. When we arrived the whole team were very welcoming, and always available for advice on what to do, where to eat, how to get to wherever we needed to. The rooms are very comfortable and packed with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Their jungle treks are fantastic, the passion the guides have for the local nature is evident, they're knowledgeable about the animals and jungle, can answer any questions you have and are dedicated to keeping the jungle clean and sustained for future generations, special mention has to go to Anton and Jibi our guides on the day, they were exceptional, but the entire staff are great and I'm sure whoever goes into the jungle with you, will give you a 5 star experience. The town of bukit lawang itself is an absolute gem, with its unique charm and the friendliest locals, I can't recommend staying there with eco travel highlihy enough.

The only downside was the monkeys that were quite aggressive, however the staff did everything they could to warn them off and obviously they have no control over them. They are cute from a distance though 🙂

The property was beautiful and very modern. The breakfast included was the best we’ve had in the entire 6 months of our travels, a real banquet. The staff were very friendly and even allowed us to check out late free of charge due to our travel times.

The mattress of the bed was a little worn out and hard. The ventilator a bit loud, but thanks to the earplugs that were provided, it actually was not an issue and we all slept extremely well after a tiring day in the jungle.

Breakfast was based on a choice of five menus. The fruit platter was better than any 5 star hotel! Pancakes were great. Omelette very good.

The rooms are beautifully elegant, spacious and very comfortable. the location by the river is just incredible. but most of all it was the staff who made it special. The team arranged everything at very short notice and made it a seamless experience. Anton was a fabulous guide into the jungle.

Beware that you need to walk 15-20 mins from the nearest parking lot to reach the cottage or ride a motorbike through the narrow alley. During rain, it could be an issue. However, the cottage staff is capable of carrying your luggages on their motorbike, so no issue on that part. Also, to our surprise the alley is so lively, full of guest houses, cafes, restaurants and stalls. We wish such information is provided in the cottage’s description.

it is located right by the bank of River Bohorok, opposite to the jungle which gives undisturbed and peaceful ambience of the nature. The room and the bed are spacious and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Calm and beautiful location. Easy Start for Trecks with engaged and knowledgeful staff. They make nearly all kinds of personel interests possible. All Guides are caring about each person. As they have an Eco attitude they support local Initiative for planting, education and cleaning. Relaxing atmosphere, good breakfast and family feeling with other guests and Team.

overall, there's nothing to disappoints from eco travel cottage. beside, i always stay at this place and never gave a bad rate(you may look from my history) since eco travel really a good place to stay. but this time, i kinda disappointed with the service. i order breakfast 3 pack and the menu literally mention there's toast. but when they served us the breakfast, there's no toast and no explanation. so when we check out, i ask about the toast. and they said the toast is out of stock. they didnt even mention about it before. no substitute menu and we still pay at the same price.

Tricky to find the hotel initially.

Amazing location next to the river, beautiful rooms, great food and cocktails and a wonderful place to stay. I felt like we were in the best place in Bukit Lawang.
