We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

What a little gem of a homestay. Eddie and the whole family were incredibly friendly and extremely welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and offered great value for money. The food was excellent certainly some of the best home made food we have had on our three week journey around Sumatra. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. Thanks for having us and all the best.

SwitzerlandFor Eddie and Dani it was very important that the guests feel comfortable, so they offered us daily cleaning if needed. After the cleaning the floor will be spotless, but other things like the bathroom surfaces and the surfaces below the windows are still dirty. Cleaning could be done a bit more carefully. Also the amenities and the room itself could need some renovation. We were able to select our room because there were many free, so we chose a room where the walls did not look worn down. So maybe 400K is a bit expensive for the room, but if you book at Eddie directly, he will be able to give you a discount.
Eddie and Dani (his brother) are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They will do everything to make your stay comfortable. Eddie has surfboards that he rented to us for 70K per day, be aware, a long-term guest also displays surfboards in the house which cost 100K per day. Eddie also rents motorbikes for 70K per day. He has a restaurant in the house and also at the beach. The portions are big and delicious, and the price is very fair. The rooms are spacious, and if needed, you can request a daily room service. I also liked the terrace/balcony a lot and used it for doing stretching/yoga. In the house, there is a friendly atmosphere also among the guests. A lot is based on trust, and it works very well. If you are afraid of the Scharia law: don't be, it doesn't apply to tourists. I still tried to wear long clothes when walking around, but surfing and swimming in tshirt and shorts was no problem for me as a woman. Maybe I would not recommend to wear a bikini though.

SwitzerlandNo hot water (it is not cheap, so I expected it to have hot water). No wifi in the room (though Eddie promised to fix that immediately, so that I do not mention it in this review :-), sorry Eddie :-). Too many mosquitos around.
Smooth check-in, even though I was there way too early. The room I got was big, with good AC, a window, a little balcony (no view), attached bathroom with western toilet and a really strong shower. Good food with sometimes a bit of long waiting time. Great staff, who can help with everything. Stayed just a short time, but I liked it.
