Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyLocation is good! but not very walkable place (like in many other places in Uluwatu). But very close still to many restaurants, cafes. I find it a bit pricy too.
I liked the design of the room, very comfy beds

NetherlandsFirst night we came back to the hotel at midnight, There is a club next to the property, loud music at night until 2am. There was no one at reception to provide ear plugs. Next morning I was told that you have to ask the property for earplugs, they don’t give it to you by default. On top of that, the same night we had a huge spider walking around the walls of our room. It was a terrifying experience. Again, no one at reception so that was a sleepless night. Next morning I informed property about the spider, they apologised and managed to take the spider out. The property is not made of concrete walls so you hear gecko, roosters, the nearby temple etc all sorts of noise all night long. So definitely ask for ear plugs during a check in.
Good location, very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel also provides scooter for rent at a good price. Swimming pool area is nice

Russia1. Nobody knows a password for Wi-Fi in rooms :-))) 2. When we arrived, the room was not ready for us: there were stains on the bed linen, and the bathroom was somewhat dirty. All of this was fixed the next day. 3. The dishes at breakfast were dirty.
The location is greate: it's near to streets with shops and restaurants but it's calm enough to have a good rest. The pool, the territory of the hotel and bungalous looks pretty nice and comfortable.

United KingdomThe rooms are a bit dark as the only natural light is coming from the entrance, rooms at the back of the property don’t get a lot of natural light. We booked a twin room, which is at the end and we asked to be charged to a double as it was too dark. We were moved rooms straight away.
Rooms is comfortable, the pool is lovely and the breakfast area is great. We have lunch there was and it was great value for money. We love the smoothie bowls for breakfast and Stevie was wonderful, very helpful and cheerful.

AustraliaWoken up early every morning due to the morning prayers from a nearby temple. It's also generally loud in the area at night due to evening festivities. I think the property should advise these two elements to guests before booking.

AustraliaSome of the lights in my villa weren't working so it was quite dark.
I initially chose Elysium because it is walking distance to the gym and yoga studio I wanted to use (I don't scooter) plus it looked so pretty in the photos. I booked for five nights and ended up staying eight. It is a lovely setting - simple but clean and comfortable villas, beautiful pool and perfectly maintained gardens. Highlights were my bed was super comfortable and the staff (very kind and helpful). Excellent food within walking distance.

United KingdomThe villas back onto the local club, the music is extremely loud though it does finish at midnight, it’s also worth knowing it is next to a temple where 6am prayers are broadcast through speakers, I do acknowledge neither of these points are in the owners control but could be a factor to some travellers. The villas could benefit from a little spruce up, in particular the bathrooms, unfortunately the drainage/plumbing has some serious issues which we had to raise, the owner did rectify however it was less than hygienic. Overall, we were a little disappointed & felt it wasn’t the best value for money.
These little villa are well located for access to many lovely cafes, restaurants & beaches, some on foot, others a short Grab ride away. The garden, pool & outdoor area is beautiful & very relaxing, we travelled as a family of five & had three villas, we very often had the pool to ourselves.

CanadaAlthough the staff and property are transparent about noise on the property we felt it was unmanageable. Mostly due to location so it is outside of the control of what Elysium can change.

Bungalow was lovely and a delight to stay in. The grounds were beautiful. Pool was lovely. Staff so friendly and helpful. Breakfast smoothie bowl was the best. Owner was so helpful when I had an accident straight after we returned to hotel and then twice went to the pharmacy for me after that. We could not fault it. Thank you so much for your help.

United StatesThe beds are very low to the ground, they were fine just lower. As other reviews show, there is a night club near by and a spiritual ceremony that plays, I had no issues with this.
