Everything! This homestay is run by Nyoman and his wife who are two of the kindest and most welcoming hosts we have met on our travels in SE Asia. We felt so looked after and really appreciated the extra touches, such as Balinese snacks and ginger and pandan tea being brought to our terrace every time we returned from trekking. Nyoman recommended two excellent warungs for lunch and dinner to us and, when we mentioned that we really liked Balinese urap dish, he even made his own version with fern for us and other guests which was exceptionally delicious! We loved the hosts’ beautiful fruit and spices garden, and enjoyed watching their cats play and wander about. The traditional Balinese breakfast was plentiful and varied. There’s a free water refill and the hosts use bamboo straws which prevents plastic waste. The room had everything we needed and was perfect for our 5 day stay. The outdoor sofa was most comfortable for enjoying the evenings on the terrace. Scooter rental from the hosts allowed us to easily reach waterfall trekking points. Everyone in the village in which the homestay is situated is really welcoming and our stay was most relaxing with plenty of wildlife and stargazing opportunities. Thank you so much for having us!

Nyoman and his wife are really welcoming and they make you feel like home. They are really looking after you, and always have a nice attention such as tea or delicacies. Nyoman helped us to rent a scooter easily. The room also has everything you might need. Really good value for money !

After 1 month in Indonesia this has been our favorite place to stay. It's nice and quiet with many waterfalls nearby. The garden is the perfect place to relax, both the bedroom and bathroom are huge and are very tidy and comfortable. Nyoman was such an awesome host! He must be one of the most friendly, generous and helpful people in all Indonesia! He makes an amazing breakfast and and brings plenty of snacks and tea throughout the day. The nearby warungs are great for dinner, delicious food and good prices. We really hope to meet again one day! Cheers brother 🙏

The bed and pillows were a bit too hard.

The room is simple but clean. You have everything you need for a short stay in Munduk area. By foot it’s bit far from Munduk center but you can rent a scooter for reasonable price and that’s the best way to explore the surroundings. Above all, Nyoman and his wife take really good care of you. They are very friendly and helpful, always bring you some tea and snacks and make yummy Indonesian breakfast.

On our trip to Bali, we left Kuta and decided to head to Munduk. After doing our research, we booked three nights with breakfast included, and it was the best accommodation we could have chosen. We were welcomed at the end of the afternoon with typical dumplings and delicious tea by Nyoman. He helped us rent the motorbike the next morning and recommended lots of wurungs with delicious food. Always in a good mood, with a big smile and an extremely generous person. Every day breakfast was different with local food and when we returned from our visits, we're always welcomed with cakes and wonderful tea. The view of the countryside is very peaceful and behind the lodge there is a rice field that you can visit. On the last day, we couldn't get any transport to go to Ubud, so he arranged a transfer. If you want to go to Munduk I highly recommend this place, We'll definitely be back. We are very grateful to Nyoman and his wife.

The hosts at Gosela Homestay are extremely lovely. They go out of their way to make you feel incredibly welcome and cared for. The room is large and spacious, and the bathroom is huge! They provide a lovely breakfast with lots of beautiful and thoughtful details. We would definitely stay again.

It can be a little bit hot in the room, a fan or AC would have made it absolutely perfect. But this didn’t impact how amazing we thought our stay was.

The couple running the place is really amazing, they’re so kind and caring. Nothing is too much. They made our stay amazing. The room is simple and every basic thing you need is there.

We loved it.

Nyoman and Putu are exceptionally warm people, really lovely. We felt like at home, they are the best hosts I have ever meet. They always brought us food and gifts and we will remember their smiles for a long time… Breakfast was very nice, typical balinese and different every day. For anything we asked they were immediately helpful. It was truly a unique experience and I recommend anyone to go there if you want to see Balinese genuine kindness and hospitality.

Super lovely hospitality the owner and his wife are so friendly. It has everything that you need bed with mosquito net bathroom a little Terrasse and that’s it. There are some Warungs next to it and a lot of others only five minutes away with the scooter. Super start point for the waterfalls. It is no touristic place at all so everything is way more quiet

The the location is a bit “in the middle of nowhere”, with not many restaurants around. You can eat at the property though. And there’s a laundry service in front. However, to stay here you definitely need a (good!) motorcycle or a driver to move around. The bed makes a lot of noise, which sometimes complicated sleeping.

This is a simple place, but with a 5 star service. The owners are always super helpful and nice. They bring you tea and some snacks everyday after your explorations and the room is cleaned daily. The room and toilet are big, although the bed is very old. Nyoman prepared different typical Balinese dishes for breakfast everyday, which was super nice!

The bed was old and very loud. The breakfast was partially cold (tofu and potatoes were cold).

The garden is beautiful. The whole room is very traditional and it was clean! The staff amazing!!! So lovely and helpful ❤️
