Amazing staff. The hotel was very clean and great effort is clearly spent to maintain it, despite its obvious age. The breakfast buffet was an experience! Large selection of different food and drinks that were always replenished promptly and the service was on point

Minor thing: Only 1 towel per person in the bathroom Cultural thing: swimming pool was not really inviting.. didn’t see anybody making use of it , maybe because it was Ramadan.

Very kind staff supported us with booking a taxi to Bukit Lawang for a good price. Beds were also very comfortable. Great breakfast

Although, it was good staying there, but I had a little bit cleanliness issues. I found a small cockroach in the bathroom, and mosquitoes in the room which annoyed me a lot.

Had to pay extra for a proper coffee. No spa despite advertising one Pool closes at 7pm, annoyingly early

Specifically mentioned we wanted NON-SMOKING ROOM. Reception was offering a room that can be smoking or non-smoking. Further, saying it was only a ‘request’ that can only be honoured upon check in. Then, what’s the point of having the specific box to indicate preference. Loosing the room key cost Rp50k, we got charged. Then found out that communication with breakfast attendants and receptionist were lacking. They returned our key to the receptionist. Appreciate the call for check out reminder at 12o’clock. Again, our agreement that our check out time was at 1pm was not in the system. I found that there should be a better communication among employees to avoid any embarrassment of appeared to be unprofessional conduct.

Ibnu, the supervisor at breakfast time was very friendly and chatty. He has good interpersonal skills and conduct his mannerism in a very professional way. Everyone is actually really good.

Check-in was quite slow. We were unable to charge our dinner in the hotel restaurant to our room. The driver to the airport had a nice vehicle, but a malfunction meant that the vehicle beeped non-stop (as if we hadn't buckled a seat belt, yet we all had) for 45 minutes. The driver also seemed to delight in driving the wrong way down narrow lanes. I suppose it's hit-or-miss with hotel transportation, but this fellow was toward the lower end.

We booked superior king rooms and they were spacious with firm mattresses, good internet and a big screen TV. The food in the lobby restuarant is tasty and well-priced, but the service is slow. The price was attractive.

The gym equipment has seen better days. Not well maintained. Water cooler had no water or cups. No towels and nor napkins to wipe down the equipment after use. Still, I managed a good session but it could be so much better. It's very off-putting ro see grubby fitness equipment.

Nice room, clean, good value. The pool is good too, a dip in it sets you up nicely for breakfast!
