The room was clean and much bigger than expected. The separate kitchen facilities were good but we only stayed for a few hours so didn't use them. There is a lift for luggage! Breakfast was simple but good. Very good value for money.

Could be noisy with traffic to Bromo and prayers

Room was spotlessly clean. Bed and bedding was very comfortable. A nice view of the mountains from the balcony. Breakfast was good. The main positive thing about our stay was the staff who were lovely and took such trouble to make our stay enjoyable. Good location for Bromo and a restaurant just across the road.

We had a great stay here. There was a mosque in front of the homestay and halal food was easily found around the area. The room was spacious and we even had a pantry. The staffs were friendly and helpful. They helped us arranged the sunrise jeep tour and airport transfers. We had a hearty breakfast. The wifi was fast. The room also had a great view.

The bathroom could do with a bit of love I think. There was a cat that needed a lot of love and cleaning, we sure hope the hotel can look after it.

This homestay was lovely - we chose this place specifically for one night so that we could go to Bromo and it was in a great place for that. The staff helped us book with someone for that excursion and it was super easy. We liked that we were able to pay by card too, which was a bonus. The place itself is placed in a lovely setting. We were able to order food for the night from a nearby restaurant and it was easy for them to find us. The breakfast was nice too - the staff were super nice during all of our interactions as well.

Nothing, fantastic stay!

The room itself was perfect, everything we could need and comfortable bed, clean bathroom, etc. There is a communal kitchen that you can make coffee in - great if you’re planning an early morning excursion to Mt Bromo! What really made our stay is how accommodating the staff were - even made us breakfast after the cut off time which we didn’t expect but really appreciated! They really cater to the tourists there to see Bromo and have their needs and experience in mind. Overall, we would absolutely book this place again. There is no need to look elsewhere :)

The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable with fresh sheets. The location was great to visit Mt. Bromo. I booked my pick-up from the train station, my tour to Bromo and my drop-off at Surabaya airport through the hotel. All went very smoothly and even if prices might be slightly higher than elsewhere it was definitely worth it. All was organized very professionally.

It’s very warm in the late morning . I wish they have ceiling fans as the aircond was not powerful enough to cool the room. Or at least a fan in the relaxation area to make the inviting area more suitable for chilling .

It’s a lovely charming homestay. Already felt welcomed before we arrived as I got a text asking if they can be of help . Tastefully decorated Balinese style and ran by the sweetest ladies. I ordered dinner en route to the homestay as they don’t provide dinner and they kept texting me for updates on my ETA as they wanted to time the food to be freshly cooked and warm when I arrive . Rooms are beautiful with a nice shower area and very clean . Aircond works well enough at night and we had a very good sleep. Only less than an hour away from the Ijen crater so we didn’t have to wake up too early for the am hike .

Owners may want to invest in mattress protector to prolong the life of the mattress and for sanitary reasons. During low season the mattress could be given a good wash. Install railings along the slope leading to the hotel for safety reasons. A raised divider and curtains in the bathroom would be good to segregate the toilet and basin to keep it dry.

Rooms are clean. Breakfast option was limited to local and continental - the fried rice is delicious. I like the owners listen to reviews and improve - now there are white sheets covering the blanket. Bed is firm and the amenities provided are thoughtful - 2 pairs of sensodyne toothbrush and ear plugs to block the traffic noise. Homestay is located maybe half way up the hill and the air is fresh and cool in the morning. My room faced northwest and I have a nice morning view without the morning sun. Room feels cool just fine with the fan (no aircond) and its nice to be able to open the door and enjoy the breeze.

The feeling of being genuinely welcome. The attention to guests since minute 1. The massive difference on cleanliness and care compared to most properties around the area. The small details on the room, this property really cares about the guest.
