Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyWhile the food at the restaurant is excellent, it is quite pricey and there are no alternative options around. The waiting time for a meal can be more than one hour (which is fine since we are on holiday and it is freshly prepared), however it would be nice if two dishes arrive roughly at the same time so we can eat together. The mattress on the bed could be more comfortable.
We especially liked the individual design and attention to detail of the Hati Padi Cottages, curated by the owner herself. The location in the rice terraces is so scenic that we even adjusted our plans to stay on our cottage's terrace, look at the beautiful greenery and walk around the rice fields. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, we felt very welcome. Everything was clean and well taken care of.

AustraliaHati Padi is a tranquil retreat in Bali, surrounded by picturesque rice fields and charming Balinese architecture. The staff here are incredibly warm and attentive, making you feel right at home. I had a health sit back during my stay but the staff went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and well taken care of. Their kindness and support were truly touching. Will visit again. Highly recommend.

IndonesiaThis place felt like home away from home. The location is incredible in the middle of some beautiful ricefields, I was able to go running directly from there into amazing ricefields around. I loved my room! Traditional wooden house with incredible ricefields view in the morning. I really felt connected with nature. The food is also one of the best I've ever had and the staff there is super lovely. Definitely a hidden gem

AustraliaThe location made it hard to just pop out and go somewhere or eat somewhere different. It was beautiful and quiet and was as described. I guess once we were there, we felt preferred the option to try other things.
We booked the 2 bedroom room, which was fantastic. Loved the decor and the view from the deck. It was huge, so I didn't feel my kids were getting under my feet. The food in the restaurant was very nice, and the staff were just amazing. Nothing was too much trouble.

United Kingdomthere was only 1 negative I have to say. Me and the group I was travelling with coincided with the owner of the property for a few days and unfortunately we weren’t too keen on how she would speak to her staff. Very snappy, demanding and slightly entitled.
The food was all homemade and delicious. Could not ask for more welcoming and attentive staff. the property is beautiful (even better than the photos). Highly recommend this place!

United StatesI was a little surprised that there was no air conditioning but it cooled down enough at night that it wasn't an issue.
The staff were exceptional. Very warm and friendly. Always available and helpful. The food in the restaurant was exceptional - I tried all of the Indonesian items and they were fresh and authentic. I loved this little property - it was so peaceful but also close enough to everything. I would come back to stay here in a heartbeat.

TurkeyThe hotel is a bit away from Ubud city center so we needed to take a taxi each time we go to center, so a bit remote place.
The room is decorated very very nicely. Pool with a rice field view is spectacular. Also facility have all kinds of side benefits such as, a very nice restaurant, experienced Balinese massagers, offer of any activities -we go to rafting- and all smiling and helpful staff. I will stay at this hotel again in my next Ubud visit.

NorwayNothing that we didnt like. Food prices were a bit more expensive then the general prices and there werent other restaurants close. But we often ate in Ubud and stayed in for a couple of meals with Hati padi :)
Hati padi was truly a special place to get away from it all and be at peace with nature. We stayed in a family cottage which was beautiful, colourful and different. The place was very authentic and the pool was divine with a beautiful view over the rice paddies! What made the place so special apart from the nature was the fantastic staff. Wayan and her staff were so lovely, very friendly and helpful and did everything to make our stay special. They offered us to participate in one of their praying ceremonies which was an experience for us. We hope to visit again one day, all the best-Suksuma :)
