One of the down side is that the walls are not very insulated so it’s really noisy at night and in the morning.

The hosts were wonderful, very helpful and friendly. They helped us organise every trip from there to: Mont Batur, Batur Hot Springs and Coffee Plantations. The room is beautiful and the view is breathtaking, everything is super clean the room is really spacious and the bed is really comfortable.

Perfect for 1 night to do the sunrise hike in the morning, all organised by the hosts. Lovely large nicely decorated rooms. Hosts were very kind and helpful. Nice breakfast.

Hillside Bali is truly a hidden gem. If you are tired of busy south coast head to the North and experience some real Bali. Mario and his wife were one of the modest and kind people we met on our travels and I really wish everyone to experience their endless hospitality. The two villas are brand new and offering everything you need. Bed and linen are 5* hotel quality and everything is crystal clear. We felt really welcomed and honestly happy we could support some local owners. Mario can organize a guide to Mt. Batur, motorbike rental or cheaper tickets to the hot springs.

Kintamani in general has a lot of flies in the daytime due to the presence of farmland. It isn’t an issue specific to the property but it does make it hard to sit outside to have a meal in the daytime.

Very clean room and sheets, clean ensuite toilet for each room with hot water. Comfortable poufs inside the room for lounging on out of the sun and away from the daytime flies. The property is situated amidst farmland so you can walk around and see lots of fresh local vegetables being grown. The view from the yard is stunning when the clouds part. A small warung is just behind the property and portions are generous.

Great, brand new accommodation with beautiful views of Batur and the surrounding mountains. The hosts are really nice. Although there is no restaurant (yet), the room service is good quality and honestly priced. Nice excursions possible to Gn. Batur, Bukit Trunyan, Pinggan, ...

Everything was amazing!!

I had a wonderful stay at Hillside Bali. Mario and his wife are so friendly and accommodating. He is also very knowledgable in the area and happy to share information. He booked my Mount Batur sunrise volcano climb too which was amazing. The accommodation itself is so modern and clean with a beautiful outlook towards the mountains. The bed was super comfortable and perfect after a long day exploring! Highly recommend Hillside to everyone!

Many flies might be good to invest in insect killer uv light. But this issue goes away at night when the temperature dips and there's no more flies.

Mario and his wife are really amazing and kind. The location of the bungalow is perfect, since you can see all 3 volcanos around. Once you reached the location up the hill you are in paradise. You can see both sunrise and sunset from there. The bungalow is very clean and beautifully designed. Breakfast was always tasty. Moreover they also have a menu for affordable and delicious dinner/lunch. We can particularly recommend the grilled fish. Overall we strongly recommend you to pick this beautiful family owned homestay.

The property is a bit up the mountain, little hard to reach with a car.

Very clean new villa next to mountain Batur. Loveliest staff. Delicious breakfast. Welcoming hosts, who are also a local family. The starting point to Mount Batur is just 4 mins away from the property.

The road to reach the place was steep and bumpy (dirt path) and coming with a scooter was terrifying. Chickens and sounds of people in nearby rooms wakes you up really early in the morning.

the roosters won't let you sleep because they start crowing at 12 o'clock at night. the roosters are right behind the room. in they are a meter from the room and the feeling that they are yelling in your room. the breakfast is very poor compared to other hotels of the same price in Bali.
