Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe rooms and property overall could use an update. The room was nice and big but a little outdated with some cracks in the grout. The bed was also not the most comfortable (I like a hard bed) although it was nice and big
The location was absolutely amazing, the pool was always nice and clean, the staff always greeted you with a smile and the breakfast selection every morning was so good and delicious

IndonesiaRoom feels a bit old and need some refresh. Bathroom and towel seems noticeably aged and lighting in the bathroom was not the best ambiance. At one point the bathroom light disconnected but maintenance came and fix it.
Decent size of the pool. Gym is small but does the job well. Location is good for nusa dua area. Overall need a refresh but service was great as expected.

FranceWe like everything and a little repair in the swimming pool is needed.
We had a great stay at the Nikko hotel. The Hotel was clean, rooms were big and comfortable. We had a shower and a bathtub which was great. The breakfast was really good with a lot of choices and very tasty. The swimming pool was nice despite few missing tiles but it didn’t prevent us from enjoying our daily swim. The beach front is lovely though we only went once as lots of people were doing water sports and we preferred being in the swimming pool. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. We ate at the 2 restaurants and we were very nicely surprised as there was an Italian and a Japanese restaurant. They were very tasty and we enjoyed our meals. We also ate across the road to warung, we had massages, pedicure and manicure. There is also a shuttle to go to Bali collection which is a mall though we didn’t want to eat at the restaurants which were overpriced because of the location. Thanks for a wonderful stay in Nusa Dua.

AustraliaThe swimming pool is in immediate need of repair. The broken tiles may cause injuries to guests.
On our visit, the Benoa beachfront from the hotel seemed to be better to swim in compared to Nusa Dua. Although the hotel is dated, the price was reasonable as we checked in when occupancy was low. We were glad that we chose this hotel before our flight out of Bali. Our room was spacious and they had good selections on offer for breakfast. There is also a shuttle bus that runs every two hours which takes you to Bali Collection for more shopping and dining options.

AustraliaThe pool desperately needs retiling, the Bali Luna restaurant and the other small poolside restaurant are still closed. Not much entertainment at the hotel anymore, just the music being played at the poolside bar.
Breakfast as always was good, great choices. Staff are still amazing. From booking in, poolside, cleaners, the staff are friendly and welcoming.

AustraliaWe had stayed here many years before and was 5 star so decided to return. The pool is in desperate need of repair with tiles missing in great numbers from the floor and sides of the pool and none of the spa jets work. Pool coping is also in poor condition so overall very disappointing that the owners have let this once amazing pool area deteriorate to such an extent.
Rooms are large, clean, traditional and comfortable. Staff were fabulous and friendly throughout the resort. Breakfast was good and typical of what to expect at a large resort that needs to cater for many tastes. Beach was clean and close to watersports if that is what interests you.Still a little quiet in this area as Bali slowly recovers from Covid where many businesses closed and have not reopened.
