Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

FranceIt was really nice to stay in Iboih Inn Resort. Lisa is a very nice, kindly, Friendly and helpful host. She helps us a lot to organise our next trip to singkil and she gave good recommendations about the island. The room was really nice, with beautiful view on the sea. Also every morning we had a delicious breakfast, with lots of fruits and many different dishes. We can also rent motorbike and snorkeling equipment for good price. The location is perfect, not to far from the village and from the terrasse of the restaurant you can go swimming easily and even make snorkeling. So thank you very much for making our stay a very good time Lisa !!

GermanyI loved staying here! Although there are many bungalows with sea views in the area, the Iboih Inn is the only accommodation that offers sun loungers and lounge areas by the water. Perfect for lazy days or a relaxed morning with a delicious homemade breakfast. This also makes it very easy to strike up a conversation with other travellers. You can snorkel directly from the jetty to a beautiful coral reef. There are very good restaurants nearby with a view or right by the sea. The owners helped me with all the activities and were kind enough to take me to the local market, which was a great experience! I would come back anytime, thank you❤️

Germany—
We really enjoyed our stay at Iboih Inn to the fullest - planned 2 nights, stayed 7. Our hilltop double room came with a cozy terrace and even sea view, was spotless clean and had A/C and a small, but nice bathroom (western toilet, sink, shower). The accommodation has a beautiful deck with sitting and lounge area for relaxing afternoons and for having nice chats with other guests in a relaxed atmosphere. We were treated with a great breakfast buffet including coffee and tea and Indonesian delicacies. Right from the pier there is excellent snorkelling and Pulau Rubiah with even more awesome snorkelling spots is just in front and a 2 minute boat ride away. Also just a short walk to the nearby village along a nice walking path. The owners are lovely and caring. Saliza speaks fluent English and can provide or arrange everything from scooter and snorkel gear rental, boat tours, taxi services, etc. We‘d love to come back!

We were unsure if Iboih Inn would be as good as the booking.com rating suggested… after staying we are confused why it isn’t higher! We absolutely loved our stay at Iboih Inn. We initially booked for 3 nights but extended twice and ended up staying for a week! Having 6 full days was perfect to relax and enjoy exploring the island at a nice pace. Lisa the owner was SO helpful, arranging everything for us: taxis, scooter rental, ferry back to Banda Aceh, dolphin and snorkelling trip, restaurant recommendations, thanks to her we really got the most of our time on the island. Our rented scooter broke down and her wonderful husband quickly met us and lent us his for the rest of the day while they sorted it. Breakfast each morning was delicious and they would always save us some when we were late. On our last day we had to check out early and miss breakfast, so Lisa made us something to go. Such wonderful hospitality and made our time on Pulau Wei so stress-free. We started in the hilltop room but moved to the waterfront room which was bigger with a wonderful view - would really recommend if you’re not on a budget. Thanks Lisa and the team, we will be telling all our friends!

SwedenWe had an amazing time at Iboih inn! We stayed in a hilltop bungalow and it was lovely. The bungalow has a nice veranda with seaview. The restaurant and common areas are right by the sea and the jetty is great for sunbathing and swimming. The breakfast buffet is probably the best in Indonesia😀 Lisa and her husband are great hosts and helped us with motorbikes, transfers and daytrips. But most of all they are very friendly and make you feel right at home. We stayed for five nights, next time wi will for sure stay longer!

absolutely beautiful location right by the beach. Also Lisa and her husband are the most caring and lovely people! Lisa does pretty much everything on her own but with so much passion. She cooks up the yummiest breakfast and in general her food was just amazing. Lisa even made the effort to make us take away breakfast on the day we had to leave really early. Thanks for everything! AustraliaNothing to fault.
Beautiful, quiet location and grounds, and lovely clean, comfortable bungalows with good bathroom. The restaurant is below the bungalows, over the water and you can just step off the jetty, straight into snorkelling! An amazing smorgasbord breakfast is included in the price, and you pre-order other meals. There are other restaurants and coffee nearby and Iboih village is a pretty 5 minute walk. Lisa and family bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable, to the extent of coordinating flights, taxis, ferries - particularly helpful as it got a bit tricky for me. Also snorkel and dive tours. Lisa came to my rescue with her atm when I got stuck for cash, as Banda Aceh city and Pulau Weh banks don't support Visa card! Lesson learnt - come with several alternatives. I highly recommend Iboih Inn... paradise on Pulau Weh.

Everithing. Moktar and Saliza the owners are awsome, incredibly welcoming and helpful. The hotel is clean, the food is good and cheap. The view on the sea is so peaceful. Especially in sunny days. The sea is cristal clear, perfect for snorkeling (multicolor fish, moray eel, octopus, coral...). Close to bars & restaurant. Possibility to rent scooter on the hotel to visit this beautiful and hilly island.

NetherlandsDespite the few stairs to reach some rooms, the breathtaking views made it all worthwhile. Sure, the WiFi might have been little a bit unstable in the room, and the bathrooms were on the smaller side, but those minor inconveniences faded away in the face of such wonderful hospitality and the serenity of the surroundings.
We had the most amazing time at Iboih Inn on Pulauh Weh! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and kindness by the hostess, who also happened to be funny and made us feel right at home. The tranquil vibe of the place immediately put us at ease, and we knew we were in for a fantastic vacation. The sea in front of the hotel was like an enchanting aquarium, and we couldn't get enough of the mesmerizing underwater world. The location was pure paradise, and we spent our days exploring the beautiful surroundings and engaging in various activities organized by the inn (dolpin+snorkeling, renting snorkel gear). The husband and wife were incredibly helpful and calm, always ready to assist us with anything we needed, making our stay even more enjoyable. The food served at the inn was not only delicious but also gave us a taste of the local flavors. Every meal felt like a special treat. Especially the breakfast, we still crave the banana bread, bread pudding, pisang goreng, nasi goreng and loads more. In conclusion, we highly recommend Iboih Inn for an unforgettable vacation. The combination of a homey atmosphere, the kind and funny hostess, and the helpful and calm husband, along with the picturesque seafront and plenty of activities, made our experience truly memorable. We can't wait to go back!
