I stayed here for 2 nights. Superb breakfast! Clean and well maintained room. Friendly staff. Close to the mosque, they gave me earplugs for a good sleep because I extended after ijen tour. Very helpful, and actually i dont mind the mosque. Because it's Java 👌🏻

If you don't have a scooter it's a bit away from everything. A few Majid around. Sometimes it is just very noisy.

The dormitory I stayed was just for 2 people. Not really a dormitory... just great with good AC.

Extremely noisy from several mosques for many hours a day, wakes you up at night. Better sound proofing is needed.

Great staff, good english and very helpful, answered all my questions on Whatsapp. Communal kitchen. Lovely breakfast included. Nice outside seating area and roof top. Organized tours, I did Ijen tour which was good. Very clean. Comfy bed. Big lockers. Hot showers!

The location isn't close to most restaurants and cafés and the breakfast wasn't ready on time

The roof top terrace is a very nice place to chill out and the staff in the evening was very friendly and helpful. The hostel owner was also very helpful with further transportation.

Bathrooms could be cleaner

The staff is amazing, the breakfast also! Good beds, rooms with 2 beds. A big mirror, a kitchen that you can use and hot water. The location is great, near the train station, but far from restaurants and markets. So, you have to decide what you want. It was really good and I recommend.

The only negative was Americans shouting in the corridor outside our room, which woke us up 3 times and was ridiculous. It isn’t reflective of the hostel, but guests should be quiet as the tours are at night and people need to sleep!

I’ll just start by saying I have travelled for 6 months in Asia and have rarely given a 10/10 review. This hostel absolutely changed that for us. The room was spotless, the AC worked, the bathrooms were clean, everything was comfortable. There is a rooftop terrace which was cosy and nice. There’s a kitchen with filtered water and a fridge everyone can use. Wifi was great. Showers were clean and good pressure. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and well seasoned. The lady who cooks is so friendly and makes great food. It was great because the staff were really friendly and honest with us too. We had the option to book Ijen tours but we were told that we could feasibly do it ourselves and we were told what to do to prepare… where to get a bike, gas masks and torches, what price to expect, which areas of the volcano are closed etc. The kindness and honesty of the staff bumped our experience up to a 10/10 - so many other hostels would rather sell you their tour than admit you can do it alone. We appreciated it so much and did Ijen for a total of 150K. If we ever return to Banyuwangi we will stay at ROOM again, I would recommend it to any traveller heading this way.

The owners of the homestay, Mira and her husband, are wonderful people. They will go beyond to help you with all your questions. They arranged my Ijen tour, and we had an amazing guide, he even made fresh coffee and tea on the top! I could only recommend to stay here

Lovely and warm welcome by Mira and her husband! Only stayed for one night to do the Ijen crater hike - Mira sorted out the whole booking of that hike for me! Delicious breakfast, even after my return from the hike at 10 am! The room was modern and tidy, with a locker, one bunkbed and lots of space Bathroom facilities on par and a nice terrace space for all guests. Although very short, an absolute joy to stay here, so highly recommend! 🌟

No hot water but not necessary in the heat (we were there in December as well).

A very warm and friendly welcome from the hosts. Had a LOT of help with organising tours to Ijen and booking ferries to Lombok. The food was all amazing and very cheap. Cute cat too :). The bed was so comfy and cleanest air con ever witnessed!

Mira and her husband and the sweetest hosts I’ve met so far and the hostel is simply lovely. I immediately felt like at home and I wish I could stay there longer than only one night. Very good price for value as well, highly recommended!
