Indonesian high society and chauvinistic Chinese Indonesians displaying their insecurities through wealth. I guess it is inevitable being the top rated hotel in the city, it is bound to attract them.

The staff were top-notch. Friendly and professional. They are bilingual and let you choose which language, English or Bahasa you wish to communicate in.

We had asked for a non-smoking room. Since they ran out, they upgraded us to the ambassador suite, which was impressive.

The waiting time to receive food ordered was too long. The swimming pool is mediocre compared to the magnificent gym. Mosquitoes and flies in restaurant.

The attentiveness as well as the politeness of the staff are top notch. I ate at the restaurant, prime and gourmet, food were delicious.

There was nothing I could fault about this, in fact we are planning to come back in this same trip.

Every little detail of this hotel has been thought through with care, attention and respect. We felt at home and we felt cared for from the second we stepped out of the car to the second we left the premises. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. We had some issues with the water temperature in the shower and not only did they change our room, they sent us cakes and a handwritten note. Especially Lucy, the asst manager, was a dream to deal with, and understands world class hospitality.

Some of the furniture in the room should be upgraded( re paint and replace by new ) Dust bin ( the aluminium bin) in the room should be replaced, it down grade the cleanliness and tidiness of the beautiful room.

No allergen signs at the breakfast buffet, however the staff were accommodating to make any dishes. But would be good to have allergen signs, as the yogurt also had gelatin in.

The furniture in the room looks tired. Maybe Marriot could consider upgrading items like the work chair, the standing light, and the armchair. Also, compared with the breakfast buffet, the dinner spread was a bit disappointing.

First, the staff is friendly and helpful, meeting the expectations of a 5-star hotel. Special shout-out to Debang, Nurul and Johannes. The breakfast buffet was really good. And the food at Jade (Chinese restaurant) was within expectation. As for the room, the amenities are great.

There was a small puddle between the toilet bowl and the shower area that appeared especially after showers. Would be great if there were more hooks in the shower cubicle in Mens room next to the jacuzzi.

Room was good and spacious. Bed was good and tables were ample. The bathroom is big and spacious. The spa and jacuzzi facilities are good as well. Reception is big and presentable. Breakfast spread is really good.

Smoking and non-smoking rooms on the same floor. Preference would be to have the smoking room away from non-smoking rooms.

Unfortunately, some of the elevators / lifts had issue and malfunction. So, need to wait longer to use this facility.

Staff very helpful, responsive and very well managed although during my stay there were many guests & customers. Hotel security is tiptop.. feel very safe staying at the hotel.

The bathroom's tiles grouting yellowish. Need to improve the cleanliness of overall bathroom.

Water did nit drain out well in the shower area due to the floor tiling causing water ponding.

The breakfast spread was marvellous especially the variety of Indonesian dishes. We love the jamu drinks served during breakfast. Staff were friendly and polite. There were many closet hangers provided which was convenient.
