Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalPool area is quite small so it felt a bit busy in the mornings but not an issue.
Beautiful little boutique hotel... the grounds/rice paddies were stunning and amazingly calm considering how busy the surrounding roads are. Wonderful staff, great rooms, good food, spa and gym. Highly recommend!

United KingdomThe hotel is sited at the edge of Ubud and too far from the center to walk. The hotel provide transport into town whenever required although the road layout means that even so, it can typically take up to half an hour to get to the center.
Excellent breakfast. The lodges are attractively sited in the adjoining paddy frields. The hotel staff were eager to please and always happy to provide transport to and from the town center.

FinlandExcellent hotel. A very nice hotel a little outside the center of Ubud. The hotel transports to the center and back at any time. They arranged a ride for us wherever we wanted. They also organized all the excursions. When we were having a lunch outside the hotel and it started to rain hevily they came to pick us up. All free of charge. The location of the hotel is excellent. The entire hotel area is well maintained and there are beautiful sitting areas. We stayed in two different rooms, both of which were very clean and absolutely super beautiful. The hotel employees were very friendly and helpful. The small gym is also a big plus. Even though the gym was small, you could do a good workout there. The gym contained a squat rack, treadmill, cross trainer, dumbbells, discs and two benches. If we come to Ubud again we will definitely come

United Arab EmiratesNo sound isolation, the neighbors checking out at 6am didn’t let us sleep. Also the bathroom wall is almost transparent, so if your roommate turn the light up there, you can’t sleep neither. Take away breakfast (which is offered when you make miss the breakfast time) is ridiculously poor
Beautiful territory, nice pool, view. Bed is super comfy. Tried spa - was really good. Stuff is very friendly. Liked the breakfast by menu (Benedict eggs and waffles are highly recommended), the buffet offer is quite poor though.Free 5 o’clock tee is nice option to have. Location is good,10 mins drive from monkey forest.

SpainOnly the AC in the fitness center is not enough for the high temperatures but it is understandable. It also opens from 7 am to 8 pm when it is still hot outside, but besides that all is perfect!
The staff is so so lovely! The place is perfect to relax and also enjoy Ubud. Nice views of the rice fields. Breakfast and dinner are really good and tasty! Super clean rooms as well. Free shuttle to Ubud Center.

UruguayIt’s hard to find for grab drivers (maybe add a light on the driveway) and the “normal” hotel room stand in contrast to the design of the huts. The breakfast needs an upgrade too.
The hotel is very quiet, the pool and the little huts and library overlooking the rice field ver pretty! The shuttle seevice into town is great! Very nice staff!

GermanyThe location was a bit out of the main Ubud town centre, but they offered a free shuttle service to any location within Ubud town.
The breakfast was fresh, good food, good value for money overall. The whole complex was very well looked after and they did frequent mosquito fogging in the garden, rice fields near by and provided mosquito coils on the balcony every night. Because of that we didn't have any problems with mosquitoes during our stay.

United KingdomIt's very far from the centre and the roads are not made for walking. The traffic is quite bad so expect even with a taxi to spend 30 mins in the car to get to the centre of Ubud. Also there is no bar bar at the hotel and no music. It would be nice to create a bit of ambience around the pool.
This hotel is situated in rice plantations - that's what makes it so unique. The rooms are big and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We loved our 5 days stay at this hotel and we would stay again.
