I traveled to the island for 3 days and I choose the better place, well located, restaurants nearby, the port very close and the facilities very well cared for, unbeatable quality price. the couple of owners have been the best hosts, friendly and advising me.

The bathroom had a bit of a smell. You can turn on the ventilator or open the door to reduce it.

The place is run by a family who was very, very friendly and did everything above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They gave us good recommendations for food and activities around the island. The room is basic but had all we needed and every day it gets cleaned. Also, there is a good wifi connection. The breakfast was basic but well prepared. The pool is nice to cool off after a day on the bike. The location is pretty central between the harbour and most coastal sightseeing on the east side of the island. Definitely recommend staying with this family if you want to stay with the kindest and most caring Indonesian people.

the Homestay is in the middle of nowhere. there is nowhere you can walk to so we were really hungry most of our stay and couldn’t get food by ourselves without having to ask the owners to order for us. this was kind of awkward and the food from the nearby restaurant that delivered was bad. you have no choice but to HAVE to rent a motorbike to get around. this wasn’t what we wanted to do or really expected as no other reviews mentioned this. other people mentioned about getting free pick up. this was by motorbike only and not realistic for us as we had large luggage. thankfully they were able to arrange a taxi to pick us up but it’s worth noting so other people know. honestly staying here felt a little uncomfortable for us as we had to be very reliant on the hosts to assist as the Homestay is so remote. we moved further towards the port afterwards where we had choices for tours, scuba, cafes, restaurants etc.

the owners are lovely and helpful. the gardens are beautiful and the pool is nice. the room is comfortable with everything you need. bed comfortable, air con works well and is cold. nice breakfast. the Wi-Fi speed was good around 30mbs

There was no way to go out to eat as there was no car or scooter available to take us and I was not up to learning to ride a scooter on the spot. drinks were warm on arrival and at breakfast. a urinal tablet was used as a deodoriser in my daughter’s cottage and the smell was pretty bad. Easy thing to fix though, but I don’t know how she slept in there without putting it outside. It felt like the location was quite remote, not walking distance to anything.

The staff are wonderful and very caring. I was sick when I arrived and they took very good care of me, bringing me paracetamol and arranging for dinner to be delivered to the cottages. the cottages are spacious, huge bathroom. The view from the property is beautiful.

Bathroom floods completely after a shower, really annoying and unsafe. There was a musty smell in the bathroom. We had ants in our pancakes at breakfast. Overall the accommodation was below average.

The owners were lovely and very accommodating. Excellent WiFi and good location. You can rent scooters from the owners which is convenient.

No shower curtain means the bathroom gets quite wet. Location is close to attractions (via car or scooter) but nothing walkable. definitely need a scooter (which the owners can rent to you)

Super kind and helpful owners. Lovely clean room and pool area. Delicious breakfast. Very comfortable bed and good air conditioning.
