If you are allergic to cats it will be difficult as they love to hang on the outside furniture, but they are super cute and friendly. :)

Jack is simply the best host! He is so kind and funny and we enjoyed our stay at Kanda Homestay very much! The best thing was the tour through the rice fields, to the waterfall and the visit at his family for Lunch. I can only reccomand to stay here and experience real balinese life!

Nothing, everything amazing

I liked everything about the property and the staff. Can’t express what a great experience we had here. Jack and his family welcome you with open arms and make you feel part of their family. We thoroughly enjoyed the tours we did with Jack, I would especially recommend the one round Sidemen and lunch at his sister’s house, getting up for sunrise was very early for us but a magical experience which we will treasure for ever and we learnt so much during the walk around the rice terraces.

This homestay is absolutely incredible. The family and especially Putu and Jack (and the kids) really take you in as part of the family. They are so kind and extremely helpful. We did 2 tours with them and they were the most amazing tours ever. They really showed us the authentic Balinese life and the most beautiful areas where there are no tourist. Also really affordable! The rooms were lovely and there were loads of really sweet rescued cats walking around. Also the location is good! Just a short walking distance to a lot of nice warungs. Haven’t had such a special experience anywhere else!

Jack has created such an lovely homestay with a beautiful garden, water pond, and the sweet cats he rescued. It is steeped in nature and walking distance to the many restaurants in Siedman. Jack’s family are such kind and warm hearted who creates an atmosphere of a home away from home.

That we couldn't stay more time there

The place is gorgeous, we only stayed a night so we didn't have the chance to chat a lot with the family that housed us but they were super nice and welcoming. Very friendly cats that just wanted cuddles forever. Putu wanted to clean an already pristine room when we arrived on short notice - this shows the length they go to to make our stay wonderful. Couldn't recommend more.

Kanda Homestay is the perfect place to stay if you want to connect with nature and experience authentic Balinese life! The room is super comfy and I loved to have the bathroom outside! Honestly, there is no words enough to express my experience in Sidemen and Kanda Homestay!!! Pure joy, kindness, authenticity, peace and feels like home! Everything was perfect

Very nice and friendly people/family. I was made very welcome, Everyone tried to help me sort whatever was needed (like quick lift on the scooter to reach the ATM) Everyone was very honest, I had some wonderful talks. The place only has 2 rooms, so getting to know the family is easy. Gusti does really good sunrise tours with ricefield hiking, lovely food and Arak. I just had an absolutely wonderful time there and really want to come back one day.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine smiles and a warm welcome that instantly made us feel like part of the family. Everything is impeccably clean and well-maintained, the rooms are spacious, comfy, tastefully decorated and the 'outdoor' bathroom is awesome. The garden is lush and the outdoor patio (with a sofa, table/chairs + fresh water dispenser) is the perfect place to chill. What truly set this place apart was Jack (the owner) and his family's genuine friendliness and the positive energy that permeated the homestay. What a wonderful experience in a stunning part of Bali.

If you don't like/have problems with chicken cuckoo sounds and other insects in the middle of the night, best not stay here, as there's a opening in the room roof at the entrance that carries all the surrounding sounds inside.

this was one of my favourite experiences while travelling. Jake and his family completely looked after my friend and I. they were so present and attentive and did an amazing breakfast every morning. the room was BEAUTIFUL and the bathroom was my favourite of my travels. my friend and I paid for a tour by Jake who took us on such a unique, local tour around Sideman which we definitely could not have seen without a local guide. he took us through rice fields, to waterfalls and to meet his family. He was such fun to be around and chat with and I really cherish my time at his Homestay.

The family is most welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is served to your terrace. Water tanks to refill your bottle. Very clean and nice decor. Lovely, lush garden and a lot of kittens running around. Location is very good, restaurants and rice terraces in walking distance, and the family rents scooters too.

Kanda Homestay is the best homestay that we have been in during our 1,5 months holidays in Indonesia. The apartment is spacious and super clean. The bed is big and comfortable. The interior design is just lovely. The wifi works impeccably and the breakfast was super tasty. Also you have a spacious porch to chill! I honestly couldn’t ask for more. Also we fell in love with the owner Jack and his family. So kind and welcoming people with big hearts and a lot of animals. We will definitely come back and I can truly recommend this place.

Theres nothing that we didn’t like about Jack’s place apart from that it’s fully booked until April so we’re unable to come back on this trip! We will definitely be back on our next travelling trip - Rocky and Lily will be fully grown by then and I can’t wait to see them :)

We had an amazing 2 nights here at Jack’s place. Jack and his family were so lovely and accommodating, they couldn’t do enough for us. The room and bathroom were really clean, there’s a water machine in the room to refill your water and a mosquito net to keep out the mosquitos at night. Breakfast was delicious and so were the cups of tea. We rented a scooter from Jack and he also organised our transport to the harbour so we could go to the Gili Islands afterwards. We couldn’t fault anything about this stay - we will definitely be back! Thanks so much Jack and family!

The Kanda was a bit hard to find for the driver. Maybe a bigger sign would be good :) but that’s not a big deal!

Staying at Kanda Homestay really is an experience that I would not miss! Instead of a hotel you have a very authentic stay with the loveliest family. The room is pretty and thanks to the moskito net, I could sleep well. Jack is very ambitious to make your stay special. He took me to a sunrise hike with view over the rice fields and to a waterfall. And we also visited his sister :) such a nice and personal tour! If you want to experience something special and absolutely wonderful instead of a boring hotel, then that’s the place for you!

If you need complete privacy with soundproof walls, this may not be the place. Still wonderful place to stay 😁

Location was tucked away in a little cozy corner of the neighbourhood. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The many casual sounds of nature of dogs, geckos, chickens and cats and morning temple is something you won't get in the city. The host and his family were extremely friendly and helpful! I loved that there was an endless supply of drinking water readily available in the room. They even provided an umbrella which was very thoughtful when we wandered around the neighbourhoods ourselves and it rained. The insect net kept unwanted bugs out at night. The toilet had an open concept but it surprisingly was cosy. Breakfast served was delicious and overall just a pleasant experience. It had all the necessary things you need. 😊😊😄
