Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe room was a bit dingy, lacked natural light as we were on the ground floor. Also lacked privacy as we had to keep the blinds closed most of the time as our room looked directly out to the reception. Location was not as close to Seminyak as we thought.
We enjoyed eating dinner at the restaurant and the complementary breakfast. Staff were also very friendly. They also cleaned the room every day which was good.

AustraliaThe pool area was lovely but there was some loose titles that could do with a repair.
The rooms were very clean and spacious. Location is great, not far from the beach and restaurants for sunset and swims as well as central to Seminyak area. Staff were lovely and helpful.

AustraliaThe pool was dangerous with loose tiles and the planks of wood sticking up around the pool. Wish they supplied sealed bottled water in the rooms, instead of the refilled glasses. The aircon was awful.
Love the privacy of your own little villa and staff was amazing and accommodating. Actually felt like I was on a tropical holiday rather than close hotels that look all the same.

RomaniaThere are some things that can be improved. We didn’t enjoy the smell of pee from the shower, the ventilator noise, the fact that we found at the end of our staying that not everything from the breakfast menu was included in the room’s breakfast option paid (it would have been nice mentioning). Also we didn’t enjoy the noise made by other tourists at the pool late in the night.
It’s nice positioned and has big , well equiped rooms. Breakfast was also good and the pool was nice. The fact that is not street faced made it so much quieter and enjoyable. Restaurant staff is really nice.

United KingdomRequested early check in but couldn’t be facilitated as it was busy, but it would have been nice as I had to wait for 5 hours till checking in. Also there is no “luggage storage” it’s just left by reception, luckily the area seems quiet enough.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, facilities were good - we like the pool and the area easy to get to Canguu or Kuta.

RussiaThere are a ton of mosquitoes here, so make sure to bring some bug spray. I'm not sure why, but when we were traveling around Bali, Canggu was the worst place for mosquitoes - even on the beach. Maybe it was just mosquito season or something.
Great value for the money with the resort’s facilities. We were around to check out the villas and the village, which we found we liked for its size and its huge facilities. All amenities are available, including a bar, restaurant, sitting area like a library, and workspace. It is easy to reach the beach, and there is no major construction or construction debris around, unlike other similarly priced villas and hotels we saw there. This is a real plus. The villa was comfortable, albeit small, but comfortable.

UkraineThe towels were disappointingly worn, having long lost their pristine white hue and turned yellowish.
Kashantee Village is a charming and cozy retreat, perfectly located just a 10-minute walk from the beach. The bungalows are lovely, the pool is inviting, and the surrounding area is bustling with shops, restaurants, and spas. Overall, it's a clean and comfortable spot for a relaxing stay by the seaside.
