Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing at all - cannot wait to stay again!
We have visited Bali multiple times over the years and Kebun Indah is by far one of our favourite places to stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and the scenery and gardens are just divine. You would not know you were in the hustle and bustle of central Ubud. The Padma room is a favourite with the most remarkable views of jungle and rice fields from your private balcony.

AustriaOur room was located downstairs at the pool and really felt like a private villa with its own terrace. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was comfortable. The breakfast which was served on our terrace was just perfect as well. We were impressed by the staff who made everything possible for us to feel comfortable.

United KingdomThe hotel is set back a bit from the main street with access down a path 100m or so, on foot only. However this gaurantees thenatural surroundings and peace and quiet that the hotel offers,
Great rooms and fantastic staff, Robot was super helpful and friendly. Location was great being surrounded by jungle but a short walk to centre and bustle of Ubud. We had a room with semi-open bathroom (but secure), which had a coy fish pond. A very special stay.

United KingdomWould have been good to have had a ceiling fan for the outside space. (We asked for a free-standing fan, which we were given; that definitely helped.) That’s a minor quibble though — and everything else was perfect.
Gorgeous location. We had a two bedroom suite, which was very spacious and beautifully furnished. Staff were lovely — polite and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The grounds and pool were very peaceful, yet just a short walk to the bustling streets of Ubud. If we ever return to Ubud, would definitely stay here again.

CanadaStaff could have shared a few little things about the room such as locking of the sliding patio doors as well as the outdoor light switch that is not easily identifiable as it's not at eye level. Also know safe to store valuables.
Such a lovely hidden gem located down a long path away from the busy main street in Ubud but close enough to have immediate access to great restaurants and conveniences. Staff were excellent and made you feel so welcome. They worked hard to make your stay enjoyable.

ChileIn the bathroom would be great to fix the curtain bamboo like because with the wind it flew inside and was a bit dirty after every time it happens. Also is not very private as you can hear everything from the outside lounge area.
The staff was superb! Very attentive.

Though located centrally the hotel was remote from the main road and very quiet. The landscaping is very nice and provides a jungle feeling.

CanadaWhat makes this resort extra special is the calmness that permeates, the afternoon tea with cake that simply arrives at your patio, and the morning coffee with breakfast on your own patio table. The pool is clean and the chaise lounges around the pool inviting. WiFi is excellent in your room. A lovely surprise for us was the pond of goldfish with a water feature in our washroom that made such a lovely tranquil sound during the day. We enjoyed the privacy of our room, the kind pleasant staff, and the helpfulness of the staff. Kebun Indah is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops, cultural places such as the museum, palace, temple, and events such as Kecak dance. You can access everything from this resort by walking, tuk-tuks or taxi. Lots of tuk-tuks are around. This resort is a gem.

GermanyHot/cold water difficult to regulate in the shower. I wish the bin bag in the toilet was changed daily.
Breakfast was great value, a lot of options and freshly prepared. Evrrybody on the staff was really friendly, specially Robot and Jos. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is like an osis of green and nature in Ubud. You can barely hear the street caos when in the room/pool area.

GermanyGlasses in the room could be changed everyday. Pool was not very clean, a bit green and with leafs. I can understand with the trees it is difficult but a few times a day somebody could check the pool.
Beautiful nice Balinese style hotel with super friendly and helpful stuff. We had the big apartment in the first house with own Terrasse. We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is great and you get it to your balcony. Cute small pool inside the palm trees, very beautiful. I felt a bit sick and they made me a rice porridge, so lovely! We had a unforgettable day tour with guide Rah, it was amazing and we had a lot of fun. You should book a tour with him :)

AustraliaMy only slight complaint is that the AC in my room wasn't the best. I prefer a cold room to sleep in and it just felt like the AC never quite got there.
Everything! The spaciousness of the room, the outdoor shower, the gorgeous balcony overlooking Ubud's tranquil greenery and most of all - the people. Kebun Indah's staff were all exceptional during my stay. Special mention to Roy, Robert and the beautiful ladies who work in the kitchen. They made delicious, healthy breakfasts each morning and truly made my stay. Can't wait to be back.

United StatesWe were delighted by everything
Every morning we had a delicious breakfast on our private terrace, with fresh fruit and juice. The hotel is just far enough from the busy street that you would have never guessed you were in a city. The sounds of tropical birds were everywhere. What was truly special, however, was the staff. They were immensely helpful, and when the two of us were ill with the infamous "Bali Belly" the staff showed us genuine concern and were just so helpful. Whenever we return, I wouldn't imagine booking a room anywhere else.

AustraliaI didn’t realise there was no tv or fly screens but once we settled in that didn’t matter. The aircon and wifi were very good and it was a great way to reset and fully relax. Take a book (or select one from their library) and read by the pool. there was also a net around the bed which we didn’t need but added a touch of romance.
So peaceful but step outside the laneway and cafes and restaurants are everywhere. No need for transport. Staff were lovely and we enjoyed our breakfast and afternoon teas on our balcony overlooking beautiful gardens.
