Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The Komodo Resort is a great place if you want to snorkel/dive, eat something nice and just relax. If there is a paradise on earth you might find it there- and if not: you will still have a wonderful time. What makes the difference there are the people. First of all we had a great dive guide, named Fandhy (just for the two of us). He wanted to know what we like and what we would love to see. He really gave everything to make us happy! Then there are Julia and Michal, the managers of the dive centre. They are so lovely and personally into it making everyone happy. Doesn’t matter what problem you have: they will fix it and make you smile again. And then there is the staff that looks for you room, at the restaurant and everything else: they are just lovely! Last but not least: the food is an indonesion/Italian mix and really nice. It is served in a restaurant (no buffet). We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

ChinaThe hotel restaurant needs to pay attention to food hygiene, the lobster bought for processing was not cooked properly, and when it was served to me, there was even a mosquito stuck on it. Of course, most of the time it's okay. The service attitude of the hotel staff is not good enough, giving the impression that they don't like you very much. The first snorkeling experience was supposed to last an hour, but it ended in 20 minutes. I had to urge them to continue. The hotel doesn't have enough boats, and chartering one wasn't an option. There might be a problem with the hotel's cash register; I was forced to pay twice. So, if possible, try to pay in cash.
The hotel's diving environment is very good. The hotel chose a great diving spot, very happy.

BelgiumCommunication with the reservations office was not great, they were not able to reply to some of our requests, but were quick at asking us to pay in advance for our scuba diving course for example, applying a very disadvantageous exchange rate. These issues even made us doubt about the resort before arriving, but fortunately all our doubts disappeared as soon as we arrived. Every bungalow has a space with sunbeds in front, but no real beach. Also it is not allowed to get in the water directly from the bungalows (you can only do it from the jetty) because the reef starts already from the shore. It's the price to pay for such an amazing and healthy house reef though...
Our stay at Komodo Resort was excellent. The bungalow was nice and comfy and included some thoughtful details like a cell phone charger or an electric mosquito repellent brought to us every evening. All staff in the resort was extremely friendly and nice, from the waiters in the restaurant to (especially) the staff at the diving centre, Michal and Julia, who made our stay even better. A special mention also goes to the chef and the amazing food served at the restaurant. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Additionally, the reef right in front of the resort is gorgeous. You can find beautiful corals, lots of fish and even sea turtles just snorkeling some meters away from your bungalow! There are also free kayaks available if you want to explore a bit further away.

ItalyI would go back tomorrow but I worry I could not afford it if the property plans to transform this unique place into a luxury resort for people that just want to show off about being in a “private”paradise island and not enjoy the nature and the sea.
The island is a paradise and the hotel makes the best out of the circumstances (there is no fresh water in the island, the hotel has to make it!). The coral reef is stunning, one of the best in the park, the rooms are spacious and clean, the food is good, staff is so nice and competent. if you want to relax, snorkel, dive and enjoy the nature this is the best place in Komodo. I read some comments and I think people do not understand what it takes to provide services in a secluded island, for example the person that does not understand how tides work and thinks that the beach is not accessible, or the request for a pool….there are many big resorts in other parts of Indonesia.

United StatesIf I have to pick something I would say it would be wonderful to have a swimming pool as the days are very hot!
My family of 3 spent 8 days here to visit the Komodo National Park islands and scuba dive the area. The location of this resort is superb...on a private island closer to the national park than any other resort so park visits and diving were close and convenient. The dive staff were fantastic and I would like to acknowledge Michael and Julia in particular for ensuring our dives were all fantastic. The house reef in front of the resort is one of the best I have seen...great for snorkelling. Our 2br beach bungalow was very spacious and comfortable...air con worked surprisingly well, and no real issue with creepy crawlies getting into the room🙂 The food was pretty good overall and the staff...especially the 2 gentlemen in the restaurant who were always smiling and helpful. Staying here was a fabulous experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to dive and explore Komodo NP.

GermanyThe are starting to build new huts between remaining huts, so they can have more guests. They build them really close, so you don't have so much space anymore and it is gonna be more crowded. :(
This is an amazing resort. It is really beautiful & you have a lot of space and a breathtaking house riff. The staff & the guest are very friendly, helpful and great to talk to. The diving sites are amazing as well as the organisation of the dives and tours. They always tried to help you. We were really lucky with our room, because we didn't have any construction side near us & didn't hear a thing.

The hotel is located in a spectacular area, with awesome views, and is very comfortable. It is very easy to get from there to different activities and dives in the area. The staff is super friendly and every day with a smile to give. All activities such as diving and the trip to the different islands are very organized and punctual. The menu is varied, good, and fresh.
