Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyLocation is a little bit far from everything, with Grab or Gojek will take 30-40 minutes. The breakfast sometimes comes with a 'surprise'.
I love the view of the villa, it looks like heaven! The people are very accommodating and kind. There is a cute stray cat roaming around the place, if you ever meet her - please give her food! The villa is spacious!

AustraliaThe property was great. We stayed in the massive 4 bedroom villa. So much space. The staff were friendly and attentive to all of our needs. The included breakfast options were a hit. All the meals we had at the villa were wonderful. Although not in the heart of Ubud, it was easy to get in to the centre of Ubud and back to the villa.

GermanyThe bathrooms are very basic (as common in Southeast Asia). The included bikes just can be used for very short trips. As everywhere in Indonesia services such as booking taxi over the front desk is much more expensive than doing it independently (e.g. use the grab app).
It is very clean and good maintained. The stuff is very friendly and supportive.

United StatesThe bad thing was that they don’t have international TV. Not too much English or French languages, mostly Indi shows. It get boring and should not be left to foreign customers to discover. We needed to follow up on news home and did not get it for more than 5 nights there
Property is 8 yrs new. The concept of being in the rice field is interesting. Very quite. But about 20 min from Ubud center.

South AfricaPillows were hard - but I found that almost everywhere I had to request soft pillows. The staff were kind but very limited in English - so just be aware if that's an issue for you. Food was a bit bleh. They try hard eg salmon eggs benedict - but it doesn't work! Simple would be better. Mostly I ate food in Bali that blew my mind with deliciousness - so after that a crappy toasted sandwich is a let down! Having stayed 2 luxury villas with my own private pool and privacy and been OVERLY delighted, I felt it doesn't make sense Kubu charge the same price - when they just can't deliver on it. So nothing BAD, just that I know what you can get for that same price!
The rooms on the left as you enter are great - rooms 3 and 11. On the right the rooms have very little view - which is insane when you're in the middle of an amazing rice paddy. I insisted we move rooms and was then very happy. The pool was great, the location is very special to me - as I stayed in the tiny balinese joglo (antique house) next door to Kubu Baik, 10 years ago. It's totally away from the busy vibe of Ubud, but only 20 mins to go in and have adventures or shopping.

IndiaAmenities are not upto the mark. No fan in dining area means sweating and eating. ACs in rooms are small and not able to keep rooms cold enough. We stayed for 6 nights and had very little option to eat from menu. Microwave was not available in the kitchen to warm milk or warm other regular food.
Staff was cooperative and tried to keep your stay better.

Czech RepublicStaying at this hotel was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, the manager and staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Their warmth and helpfulness truly made our stay memorable. The highlight of our experience was undoubtedly the breathtaking view of the rice terraces. Waking up to such a picturesque scene every morning was truly magical. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bali.

GermanyFirstly, it was very quiet, you were on your own and as a guest you had a lot of private space. The staff was super friendly and tried to do everything to please you. There was even vegan food and all the dishes tasted delicious. And the rooms are so beautiful, a big shower and bathtub and a nice bed. It was the perfect hotel for Bali and I would always recommend it.

NigeriaI recently had the pleasure of staying at the villa, and I can confidently say that it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked through the elegant entrance, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury and hospitality that set the tone for a perfect stay. The staff deserves special recognition. Their warmth, attentiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome and comfortable truly impressed me. Whether it was the concierge offering excellent local recommendations or the housekeeping team ensuring my room was impeccably clean, their dedication to guest satisfaction was remarkable. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a culinary delight. The diverse menu featuring local cuisine and international provided an unforgettable gastronomic journey.
