Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe only think is that the road outside the hotel gets very noisy in the weekends so if you have a room on the road facing side, you might get a lot of disturbance from the motorbikes throught the night.
Loved the hotel. The staff is courteous and prompt. The rooms as well as reception is beautiful. They have a small cafe from which we ordered coffee and waffles. It was delicious.

AustraliaIt can be quite noisy and there is bad traffic on the weekend since a lot of locals will hangout around the park and surrounding area.
Very good service, prompt reply by staff, room is very spacious, comfy bed and sofa bed, nice decoration and beautiful colonial house. Strategic Location, right in the middle of Blok M area. 7 mins walk to Blok M Plaza, MRT. Very easy to find eatery place. Right across Ayodya Park and 1 min walk to Langsat Park.

IndonesiaI could not check in at 2 PM since the previous guest was late (but still) And this is not the hotel's fault but I kinda wish there's an information in the third party's (like this) booking platform that you'd get free breakfast if you book via the website. And I forgot to inform the housekeeper (sorry) that the eletric socket near the fridge (in the taman menteng room) was broken and the fridge was leaking.
The room I stayed in was very spacious, pretty and comfortable, despite some noises from traffic (but they provided earplugs, so that's a plus). The location is really good, near lots of restaurants and MRT, and overall the feel of the place is very relaxing, wish I stayed longer.

SingaporeIt can get a bit noisy since you're at a junction where there's lots of hawkers on the roadside. After 10PM the main gate closes and you have to do a walk around if you are using a car to get dropped off at the main entrance, although the security is just a Whatsapp away from opening the gate for you.
A great little stay that is walking distance to a lot of the new bustling F&B establishments. Location is also great if you are in town for work and need to travel in and out of SCBD without paying premium price for location!

PhilippinesI loved everything about Lamandau. I traveled for business, and it got me energized for the day’s work! The room size was and unexpected treat. Lamandau’s location is a wonderful introduction to city life in Indonesia. First time in Jakarta, and definitely coming back, and staying here again!

PhilippinesI did not like the smell of the room when the air condition is turned off. I had to make sure that the temp is really low so that the smell of the room remains good.
The Lamandau House is situated strategically nearby the other commercial establishments and also along with other residential spaces. I like the place's interiors. The adaptive reuse of this particular property strikes a balance between functionality and aesthetics. I love the industrial design of my room, well lit and the space is enough for one person to move around. I like the helpfulness and generosity of the hotel staff who helped me get transportation when I needed it the most.

IndonesiaThey only provide one trash bin in the bathroom, but there's none in the bedroom. Despite of the convenient location, the road access from some of the gates are closed at night. I stayed for NYE and had to walk quite far because two gates were closed.
The place has a homey vibe, the front porch adds a lovely touch to the overall well-concepted interior. Love the warm, pastel color palette. The furnitures are well designed, seems like they pay attention to even the smallest details. Great location with many street food vendors. Room is comfortable, the bathroom is huge.

United KingdomBreakfast was not great in the café downstairs. The WiFi login system is tiresome.
A boutique gem in South Jakarta. Beautifully styled property, comfortable spacious rooms. The park across the road gave great green leafy neighbourhood vibes - not very common in a city like Jakarta! We even walked to the mall with young children. We would stay again.

Malaysia- Room facing the road can be a bit noisy at night - Housekeeping missed some spots & it was pretty obvious after 3 days of staying there, i.e old coffee sachet on the balcony table, some old tissues under our bed that i dare not touch, & we found an old hand written welcome card meant for previous guest. - The balcony door at Waduk Pluit room need to be fixed because it was baring rusty nails. Conveyed this to the staff on the 1st day but it stayed unattended until our last day.
- It has a rustic mansion feel that carries through to the beautiful room ID & landscape. - In house coffee place serves good breakfast, we liked the nasi uduk in particular. - Walking distance to MRT & there were many places to eat along the way. - Good amenities in the room, sofa bed was a nice touch so my 2 kids feel comfortable in their own little space. - Attentive & friendly staff, we communicated via WA mostly & my requests are promptly attended.

ThailandNothing much, just occasionally there'll be loud noise outside of the building at night given that its location is placed close to the market.
The staff are really friendly and approachable. They are really willing to help with anything you need. The way of communicating to the staff is convenient as well even though you're foreigners.

MalaysiaCleanliness could have been improved slightly, as when we arrived there was some debris in the shower floor. Also the shower drain was slow to drain water so it tended to pool in the shower area
Room decor was quaint and cozy. Beds were very comfortable and ameneties were good. Staff was excellent in responding to any questions and requests. Earplugs provided were great as the hotel is located right in front of a bustling road and the cafe on the terrace means you will hear quite a lot of noise. Location is good, about 15min walk to M block space

MalaysiaWish the shower had been a tad bigger, and that there was a way to contact staff at the reception area (there wasn't an official desk) when no one was around, just for convenience.
Really liked the decor and common sitting areas, my room had a fairly spacious bathroom, I also appreciated the drawers for clothes and other storage available for our things. Picked this location due to its proximity to the venue for a wedding I attended, but in general it's close to lots of food options, and isn't too noisy. Staff were all super helpful and friendly, and the welcome drinks are a nice touch.
