Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only negative was that the roof made a really annoying noise when it was windy - think there was a hole and the guy said it had tinfoil in it?! So when it was windy it rustled a lot. Sounds really minor but it was pretty windy so was very annoying. The guys were great and offered us to change rooms but the other top one had the same issue and the lower ones were smaller and had no fridge (we wanted space and fridge due to being shut in on Nyepi). It did keep us up a bit but the other nights there was no wind so it was fine!
We had a really lovely stay at Letos Kubu. It's off the main streets so quiet but near enough to walk to everything - it's about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The pool is really nice to cool off in and the rooms are nice and spacious with a fridge and a kettle. There's loads of storage space and the shower has great pressure (although it isn't attached to the wall at a proper angle so you have to hold it). It's really nice to have he outside space too. We were there over Nyepi and it was a nice place to enjoy the quiet. The staff are super friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed ahead of Silent Day. Overall I 100% recommend, it's a lovely place.

SingaporeThere’s no kettle inside the room. But you can ask the reception for hot water anytime. My bathroom shower water drained slow, so there’s tendency for standing water
The room is comfortable. The place is nice and quiet. Love the room’s porch. You can relax or do your work. It has power outlet too. Location is good. Many shops and good restaurants just outside the property. Walking distance to the beach too.

BelgiumDepending on your neghbors, you may have problems to sleep, once there is no soundproof at all. Also, the rooms are quite old and I stayed there for 11 days and they've cleaned it only once, and didn't clean the bathroom properly.
Kind staff, room with a good size and a small balcony in the front and a nive swimming pool to enjoy in the end of the day. Walking distance from the beach and full of nice restaurants and bars around!

United StatesRoom was not cleaned daily. In one week we had to ask to have our room cleaned (staff is available and on site 24/7). Our shower head came off the wall the first day and the guy simply took a picture and wedged it back up (so we didn’t move it again). Lots of rust on bathroom fixtures (which could be expected due to high humidity), and the neighbors smoke literally poured into our room causing us to cough and turn off the A/C in hopes to help it not be brought in. We realize this isn’t the hotel’s fault, it was just very unfortunate to have them as our neighbors for 7 days.
Its a lush property with private decks for lounging (although we had chain smokers next to us and therefore were unable to use our deck due to smoke), the pool area is nice. It’s tucked off the crazy busy road and is surprisingly quiet.

GermanyBreakfast was advertised but seemingly unavailable; though there are plenty of places to get your brekkie nearby, so only a minor complaint.
A calm oasis in the middle of hectic Kuta, for a very fair price. Simple but good.

MalaysiaNo breakfast provided but not a problem since many eateries/cafes nearby. The blanket is slightly thin but not an issue if you turn up the A/C temperature.
Strategic location at Jalan Benesari. Only 10 - 15 minutes walk to Beachwalk Shopping Centre and Kuta Beach. Many eateries/cafes, massage parlors and souvenir shops nearby. The homestay is tucked away from busy main street & quiet at night. For the price point, you'd get a decent yet comfortable room to sleep. I had a lovely time staying here and very good value for money.

And in front of every room you have a small porch with a lounge to relax. Our flight was not going until 7pm so we were allowed to use the swimming pool after check out. They even offered fresh towels
