    I can’t live there forever.

The jungle lodge is away from the noise of the village with an incredible sunrise view and surrounded by wildlife including monkeys and fireflies. Udin is a wonderful and kind host that cares for his guests. I saw 6 orangutans on my trek, with one coming right up to us to steal our fruit - life changing.

The lodge was in a beautiful secluded setting with gorgeous views. I also booked jungle and orangutan trekking with them which was brilliant. The whole team (but particularly Yusup and Geng) made me feel very welcome, went above and beyond for me to get the most out of my experience and tailored the trek to my preferences. Thoroughly recommend 👍🏽

    Nothing.

Wooden open houses in the middle of the jungle with superb view. If you wish to experience the jungle: it is day and night around you with the sounds in the night; this is a perfect basic stay. We stayed here 2 nights with our daughter of 15 years old. Staf is excellent, very good cooking. Breakfast with banana pancake. Delicious Indonesian dinner in the evening. We booked a 1 day jungle tour with them and that was amazing. We walked in a small group of 5 including 2 guides. We had the luck to see an Oran Utang mother with baby very close to us already in the morning. End of the day we saw a big male oran utang as well, very impressive. Besides these we saw different kinds of monkey's. We had a lot of fun with our guides during the day.

The accommodation is not in the village, but in the nearby jungle. Perfect for starting jungle trekking the next day. The owner offers tours to the jungle that can be booked on arrival. The accommodation is simple. No shower and shared toilet. But you can go for a bath in one of the rivers during your jungle trek. Our guides during our jungle trek were Balu and Jorge. They had a lot of information to offer, a lot of entertaining games in the evening and a selfmade song. Jorge may well be the best cook in the jungle.

This place is a must for any traveller wanting a proper jungle experience for good value. This is not a lush hotel but rather a beautiful jungle lodge and trekking into the jungle with camping. Perfect for any real traveller. My guides, Uddin, Geng and head chef Joseph were amazing! Along with all the others I met along the way. They made sure everything was in good order while maintaining a good relationship with me and the other guests. Really felt like guests and not tourists. Exceptional experience 👏. 10/10 would recommend.

My back didn’t agree with the thin mattress on the ground, but that’s probably more of a personal back problem. The rest defo made up for this small nuisance!

Beautiful spot in the middle of the jungle. Very basic, but that’s what makes it nice. No electricity so make sure your phones and powerbanks are charged to make sure you can still make photos of the orang utans. Lovely tour! Very friendly and funny people.

It would have been nice to know that there is no blanket up there so that we could bring! It is very humid at night especially when it rains like when were there and you can get cold if you are not well prepared!

The place is amazing, the way to the bungalows, the bungalows themselves and the view are breathtaking. Udin, has been great, super friendly and helpful. All his family has been really welcoming. Very positive experience!

Not really, the toilets need some getting used to but it's part of the experience.

The location superb, while it the accommodation is a bit basic you are rewarded by fantastic views of the jungle when you wake up. And monkey might join on the terrace for breakfast. The staff very super-friendly and nice -- in particular Balu, Yanta and "Fernando" who made our stay and the jungle trekking unforgettable experiences. Also the breakfast -- banana pancakes - were very tasty. Overall there is a very nice vibe and the feeling you are surrounded by nature.

The walk/hike to the actual lodge (not the jungle trek) is about a 20-30 min walk out of the main strip of town and a 5 min steep ascent up a mountain. It was fine, but maybe not for the weak!

Unforgettable experience. Our guides and lodge staff members were absolutely amazing - made the stay and the jungle trek so much fun and took care of us so well. We asked for a little bit of an off-the-beaten-track trail and that is exactly what we got. The food during the trek was delicious - fresh fruit and amazing chicken and tofu dishes for dinner in the jungle. We saw so many monkeys and made really good friends during our stay. Also, the orangutan card game in the jungle left us all laughing into the night. Our hosts also arranged our transportation to and from bukit lawang so it was super easy for us. Absolutely perfect experience in the jungle, would recommend staying and trekking with this jungle lodge for an authentic experience with the best company.

The accomodation was on a hill in the jungle. It was basic but nice (as you might expect, since you are literally in a lodge in the jungle) After the first night, we also booked a jungle tour with Uddin. We did a 2 day trekking. Balu and mr Gang were really friendly and fun guides. They showed us where the monkeys were and didn't care to wait if we were tired. Jusu was our cook who made good meals. We saw a lot of monkeys (including 5+ different orang-oetans). Everything was included (breakfast, lunch, diner, tea, coffee and fruits)! We also did the tubing, which was a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend to do your trekking with them. (Pictures are from the 2 day jungle tour and not the one night stay)

Thank you for lovely stay. Udin took care of everything and his sons were on the trip to jungle with us. Balu was very kind and helpful, he tried his best to find the orangutans and he knew a lot about the animals. The lodges are in the jungle, we saw Thomas Leaf monkeys on the way there. There is running water where you can shower yourself, and clean toilet. There are beds with mosqito nets. There is no electricity, and quite weak signal. But if you want to stay in the djungle, by the camp fire watching fireflies, this location is the best. The views to the djungle are amazing, and sunrises are astonishing.

The mattress is not a 5 stars one, but you can sleep quite well, remembering it is a wild experience in the nature.

Book here your jungle trekking, good prices, best guides and moreover you’ll help the local economy instead of others companies managed abroad! Coming here is an authentic and amazing experience in the nature. The lodges/bungalows are in the jungle, they are basic, an amazing camping spot in the jungle to escape from the city life. You can see monkeys and animals from your bed in the morning. The people are amazing, kind and really available to help you in any situation. Book here your jungle trekking (I did the 2 days trekking with one night in the jungle), the experience is really beautiful and the guides Cici, Sam and the owner Uddin are the best. Starting being your guides, they will become your friends! Lovely people and also careful about sustainability. It exceeded my expectations.

Wonderful location - woke up with sunrise and got to watch the sky change colour over the hills of the jungle. There was a mini-trek to the lodge, about 30 minutes. Uddin the host kept all my valuables and heavy items safe in his home in the city so i didn't have to carry them. He also helped me get to bukit lawang with directions over whatsapp since i took the public bus (don't recommend, they've increased prices for tourists, almost same as tourist bus now), and cooked us a free dinner because we were hungry when we arrived - he was a super kind and welcoming host. If you're going to do trekking, I would highly recommend booking it through him. I booked the 2d/1n with him and it was one of the best experiences of my life, I cannot recommend it enough. We saw 6 Orangutans, some Thomas leaf monkeys, Macaques, a tortoise, and a giant Goanna. The minimum prices are the exact same across all companies, but not all are locally-owned like this one.

We loved the location of the place in the jungle and on a Hill, so we felt in the middle of nature and could see a beautiful sunrise directly from our balcony. The accomodation is very Basic but still comftable and exactly how we expected it to be. We also booked the jungle trekking of them with Chiechie being our guide and Yusup the Camp coordinator and Chef. They both were very sweet and did everything to take good care of us. We can recommend both, the lodge as well as the jungle Tour, very much.

I would advise that if you’re not going to book trekking, you make that very clear at the start of your stay. We weren’t sure of our plans and in the end just stayed at the lodge rather than going trekking. It got slightly uncomfortable because the owner kept asking us about trekking even when we said we weren’t going to do it.

We had an amazing time at the jungle lodge. The location was amazing and so beautiful. The experience is perfect for people who want to spend time in nature and see wildlife. There’s a river nearby that you can swim in, and we woke up to monkeys just outside the room. Highly recommend. Just FYI, the description on booking.com is not very accurate, and the location on maps is for the booking office not where you stay. It’s about a 40 minute walk from Bukit Lawang into the jungle. The last 10 minutes is a hard climb so you need to be active enough to do this, might be hard if you’re older or have young children.
