The mattress of the bed is up to replacement as was the linen.

The cottage's view of the lake is superb! The location is a little bit outside Tuktuk which means you can enjoy a quiet stay. We stayed there in march, out of season, so the complex felt empty which gave the impression you have the place for yourself

The service of the staff. They aren’t particularly helpful or make you feel welcome. Also the bathroom was not clean: there was a sigaret and a half-used soapbar in the shower and we had to ask for toiletpaper. The pool is great but you don’t have any options to chill next to it, besides lying on a towel on the stone floor. Maybe all the money goes into the insanely big block of extra rooms they are building at the moment. All in all this makes the room quite pricy for what you get.

The location. Mas Cottages is situated just outside the city centre, which makes it a quieter accommodation at the lakefront. Downside: it makes you a bit more dependent on the (facilities of) the accommodation.

-construction workers of the new building just next to our room. Construction works were super loud already at 8am -quite old room. Big lizards on the walls. Some insects or lizards were in the attic (between roof and ceiling) and we could hear strange sounds of them

the food in the restaurant was basic, may be because of the low season. close (opposite) to mas cottage is a very good local restaurant with good and fresh juices. high price for scooter renting (150.000 INR)

The room is located directly at the lake which gives a fantastic view. The personnel is friendly and the breakfast is great! The hotel is located at walking distance of some lovely bars, restaurants and wood shops. You can also rent a scooter at the hotel to explore the island which I can highly recommend!

30 minute walk to the centrum of tuk tuk. We didn't find that a problem and the scooter is also an option.

We had booked three lake view rooms. However due to the steep steps down to them - our grandma wasn’t able to make it down to the room safely as it was raining and the steps were slippery. So they relocated her to a different room closer to reception - it was smaller and had no balcony. However when we asked if we could be moved to a family room so we would be located together - they said we had already used the room (since we had moved our bags in) and would have to pay more. When another staff member tried to explain why we couldn’t move he told us to just get our 83 year old grandma to try walk down if we really wanted to be in the better room. And didn’t offer any alternatives. One of our lake view rooms also didn’t have any towels, soap or hot water. Overall customer service was disappointing and fairly rude. It’s a shame since the hotel has some nice points but is let down by the staff members.
