How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No soap provided, no bedside tables & no breakfast option. These are minor things though - it is still good value for money & I would stay again.
Tidy clean room. Staff were helpful. Close to the beach and everything else.

Rooms could do with a kettle and mini bar fridge.
Love this little hidden oasis, very quiet and peaceful. Great location and friendly staff.

A small fridge in the room would be nice for cold water, drinks.

Very big room, very clean and comfortable. Nice pool facilities. Staff were helpful and had their own scooter rental. Right on the beach and near a main street with lots of food and drink options.

In my 15 day trip and staying here, there were these 3 particular days where there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom drainage sewage. Other than that there were no issues.
This property is truly amazing! I did not expect it to be such a spacious room with a big bathroom and my own personal balcony space. The rooms would be cleaned every 3 days and the staff were super helpful and kind. They would always help out whenever needed. And they would clean the area outside the room every single day. It’s one of the best home stays I’ve stayed at. Even with other people staying at the property, there was no noise. It’s also super close to the beach. Very convenient location and value for money.

Obviously given the price, the accommodation is very basic and you do not have access to the following (which was not a problem for me, again given the price): on fridge, room cleaning (although I didn’t ask, maybe they offered it), no toiletries, no hot water in the shower (but I understand that is the case in most places). You do have AC and fan.
the price is very interesting as well as the location, close to everything and to the beach. From here you can easily take a surf lesson at the end of the street, go to the diving center nearby, and access the best restaurants in the area. I rented a bike to explore the area, but you don’t necessarily need it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. There are no fridges in the rooms which I think for people with small families this could be a burden.

Lovely accommodation with very spacious and bright rooms, each has its own drying rack. I recommend to rent the scooter with them. Beach super close, also good restaurants within walking distance.

There is no kettle, cups and shampoo/soap in the room. But the owner gave us hot water for morning coffee after we purchased cups.
We loved all the island of Lembongan. The property is walkable distance from the port. We did walk, because transport to property was quite expensive (1 km - 100k). The room is big and clean. The water in the shower was either too hot or too cold, impossible to get medium. Anyway, it is great value for money.

Wi-Fi was mostly strong but cut out for a few hours a couple of times.
Great value for money. Excellent location for surfing Shipwrecks and the restaurants.
