Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesThe access to swimming pool as it has to take the stairs despite to use the direct GF floor. The bathroom towel is very poor quality for 4 stars hotel. Also, getting second access card is very difficult as the receptions says the have running out of the card! Well.. hard to believe it as the daily rate for the room is not cheap tho. Quite horrible experience as I booked 4 rooms and were staying there for 5 nights.

MalaysiaThe sea view scenery from my 7th floor was not so much epic as the sea was far and lots of building in between. In my opinion, It was not a good scenic view.
The hospitality of the check-in officers was very helpful. Processing for check-in took a short time despite having a number of customers arrive at about the same time.

MalaysiaTowel provided may have been due for replacement. The room sofa seen filled with all sorts of dirty patches. The coffee packet supply in the room looked almost like the same packets for creamer and sugar.
The hotel location is within the town center. Wifi connection is stable and strong. The staff is very helpful and always gives a great smile.

United KingdomThere wasnt much wrong with the hotel at all. It had a lot of corporate events on but this did not impact my stay other than parking at times was slightly awkward. I feel the top floor should be reserved for hotel guests.
All the staff were friendly and professional and straight away I was given an upgrade to a sea view room which was fantastic. The hotel itself is stunning and the room I was in was huge. The facilites were all pretty good. The pool could be bigger but its more than sufficient. The cleaning staff did a great job and the location is perfect to explore Bengkulu. This hotel helped make my stay really enjoyable and is a great addition to the town. I can't wait to hopefully return in April.

IndonesiaHorrible noisy room next to elevator machine room screaming groups in the corridors, badly isolated. I booked the most expensive hotel in Bengkulu to guarantee me a comfortable stay, and it was a nightmare. And I could not be moved to another room because "sold out" due to a massive group. If you book such a group, feel blessed and block the one room you have for sale!

IndonesiaReception is not friendly at all. We arrived early. They said that no check-in before 2pm (which is common and understood). But they didn't suggest a way out, until we ask to leave our bag with the concierge. No smile or apology. The receptionist is more like a public officer. When we finally checked in, we ask for two keys. And again, like a public officer, the receptionist said that we will be charged Rp. 100.000 per key if we ever lost it ( I know the key only cost less than Rp. 10.000, which we normally request to keep as a remembrance). No spoon, fork etc in the room. Not even coffee stirrer. Lot of noise from adjacent room n corridor. A lot of family with young children. Parking area is worst. Not only full, but no clear exit signage and DIRTY. Not a single rubbish bin found in the parking area
Location is superb, in the main road. Room is relatively clean

IndonesiaSlow check-in and luggage pick up (2 staff watching and waiting for the eventual arrival of the one responsible for hauling the suitcases out of the car - tipped that one nicely, hehe). Asked for quiet room and got one at the elevator side of the corridor where everyone else passed by loudly talking, calling, kids shrieking. Noise isolation between rooms also not good, but interesting conversations in the rooms next to us, hehe. Some room corners really dirty, especially the one where the waste paper basket stands, which looked like it was used as a basketball dunk for half-finished food trays before.
Very nice matrass, good warm water pressure. It's obviously the best business hotel in town and costs only 33 Euro per night
