Staff weren’t very helpful when we arrived. Kept asking us to confirm payment when we had clearly already paid. Restaurant was disappointing, some good options but twice we went and both times they had ran out of most of the dishes. Overall, for the price you’re paying I would expect a slightly better service.

Apart from that we have no idea how they earned a 5 star status, many small things that added up that are absolutely not 5star service: - there is no toilet brush - the welcome drink was undrinkably sweet - the spa will be closed until end of year, upon request they made no effort in helping us book a spa treatment/massage in alternative elsewhere. - they offer airport transfer or pickup for 225‘000 IDR, which is almost 4x the price we have paid elsewhere in Labuan Bajo or if you just take a taxi. - when we asked for a taxi to a restaurant at 7 pm the answer was: we don‘t have taxi here. We had to look for a taxi for ourself. - the sundeck is full sun, there are 7 sunbeds for the whole hotel, there are NO umbrellas, even on request. There are rusty nails sticking out of the pool sundeck, which are a safety hazard. Cocktails were below average and very expensive for the area. - they do not seem to make a big effort against plastic waste in this dive paradise Komodo (plastic straws, one way cosmetique products, schampoobottles etc.) - we were in a „hillside“ room 2nd floor, it is oposite a big Minarette, you hear the Muezin blast loudly 5 times a day starting from 4 am. You also hear people walking by outside your room, and you hear the boat horn blast loudly when it arrives/leaves (also through the night 11:45 pm, 00:30 am, 5/6 am) which shook and woke us up everytime.

The room was ok although quite dark for reading. Personel was always nice. The location is very practical and central. The breakfast choice is plentiful, the view from the pool/breakfast area very nice. We were granted a early checkin, which we are very thankful for. We appreciated the check out time being 12o’ clock. The american beef burger we can definitely recommend.

This hotel falls far short of its advertised 5-star rating. Despite the hefty price tag, basic services were sorely lacking throughout our stay. Room service was a disaster. The reception seemed oblivious to the supposed 24/7 service, leading to a 20-minute wait just to place an order. Despite assurances from the manager, breakfast arrived 30 minutes late and with substituted ingredients that were not up to par. Communication was a nightmare due to language barriers. Staff struggled to understand basic English requests, often disappearing when they couldn't comprehend, leaving guests frustrated and helpless. Even a simple cocktail order took 45 minutes to fulfill, only to be delivered incorrectly. The front desk was equally unhelpful, with four staff members unable to assist with anything, simply saying, "No, we cannot help you." Given the disastrous breakfast experience, we avoided dining at the hotel's restaurant, especially after reading negative reviews online. Even ordering a taxi proved impossible for the inept staff.

Location of the hotel is good, amenities also ok. That's it, the rest is just a nightmare.

I am deeply disappointed by the appalling experience my wife and I endured at this resort. Our decision to choose this hotel was based on the specific benefits offered, with a clear understanding of a nominal fee for the inclusion of one particular benefit that would cover both of us. Despite reaching out to the resort before the cancellation deadline to confirm the inclusion of these benefits, it took an unreasonable amount of communication and providing photo proof before they reluctantly acknowledged their inclusion. However, upon check-in, the resort blatantly attempted to exclude the benefits and, even when presented with undeniable proof, insisted on charging us double, directly contradicting their earlier communication and our booking criteria. To make matters worse, this confrontation occurred in front of other guests, with staff speaking loudly enough for everyone to hear our private business. After insisting on speaking with management, we received apologies for the inconveniences and assurances that the matter would be rectified. However, despite their promises, we were left waiting for hours until late evening, only to discover that the property was unwilling to honor the benefits we had paid for. This left us with no choice but to scramble to find an alternative location for the romantic supper we had planned at the resort. Furthermore, we felt compelled to remain at the property, sacrificing our desire to leave, simply because I prioritized my wife's eating and comfort over finding another place. This decision made our brief stay incredibly awkward, exacerbated by a disruptive breakfast experience marred by loud boat engines passing by every minute and the unpleasant discovery of flies in my eggs. There was also mold smell in our room which we discovered in areas of our bathroom. This unprofessional conduct caused us extreme embarrassment and stress, which is utterly unacceptable. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this establishment.

Check in felt rather complicated.

An enjoyable stay. Lovely room, excellent AC, everything that you would expect from a modern hotel. Really enjoyed the BBQ and buffet.

Amazing view of the islands from the hotel lobby. Right at the town centre, good restaurants around that were walking distance. Staff was exceptionally friendly and very helpful allowing us to pack some snacks for the kids as we had all day tours. Swimming pool was gorgeous, the view of the islands from the pool was something else!

Located very close to religious place and it begins at 04:30 in the morning and another 3-4 times everyday. There are rooms impacted by this and for sure the hotel knew abt that and didn’t mention anything. Conveniently of cause there are rooms for you to pay extra to upgrade to quiet rooms

Very disappointed with the value for money and the staff. Asked to shift my reservation by a day and it was denied when they were so many rooms available (no commercial gesture even if it was the same price). Very expensive: other boutique hotels in the area provide a better alternative for solo travellers. Small swimming pool.
