The best guesthouse! The owners make you feel like you are at home and you will have new family for the rest of your life. The always help you with everything and will give you extra food. Room is very good: nice bed, very good AC and also enough space. They arrange your to Mount Ijen for the best price and the experience is very good. I will definitely recommend this guesthouse, it’s amazing!

The price has doubled compared of few years ago, not anymore a great deal but still affordable... I think now that the price is higher, you should give the possibility to guests to prepay through the platform by credit card. Foreign backpackers often have limited cash availability and sometimes can be a problem

The breakfast was really good. The owner helped us with planning our trip to Bali and booked the tickets for the ferry for us. We had a great time in the mocca guest house and can highly recommend to stay there. We had good talks with the family and felt very welcomed. Especially loved their cute turtles!!

The wifi didn't work for us.

Mocca guesthouse offered a tasty breakfast, and welcoming hosts. They offered cheap tours of Ijen and surrounding attractions, and cheap transfers to Bali. We enjoyed a short stay there. Close to restaurants too. I recommend staying there with a family.

Special thanks to the owner, many thanks Ibu. Definitely would be back there again. Located in a housing of Banyuwangi kota, which is near by Banyuwangi kota train station and convenient location too. Took about 5-8 minutes drive from station itself and easy way to go Ketapang area. Take a local uber to take you to Ketapang harbour if you would like to cross by ferry ship to Bali. Clean and neat place, comfort room and absolutely friendly owner, you will find a new local's life experience there. I arrived in midnight time and the staff was happy to help, they were really accomodate us. Amazing banyuwangi

Very friendly staff which helps you in by any problem. Offers also pick up services from the Harbour and tours to the Ijen. Also the breakfast was very good.

Perfect stay at Mocca guest house. Beautiful family and great breakfast. They have tea and coffee available and nice seating area with fountain. I would stay here again. They were very helpful and arranged our tour to Ijen mountain.

Absolutely nothing, can't say a bad thing.

The staff were exceptional, answered all our questions that we had, and assisted us with onward travel. They also booked our Ijen tour for 350K each. The breakfast was really nice. The morning we left, we left very early, before breakfast time, and without asking they packed us a takeaway breakfast which was so nice of them. Definately recommend staying here.

Nice clean room with AC, the common area is great to enjoy your breakfast or just relax. I took this hostel because I could book the Ijen crater blue fire tour here. It was 400000 rupiah (350 during the week). I got picked up at around 0:10h so we got to the crater pretty early, there were not so many people yet and the blue fire was incredible to see. The family with their kids were very friendly and caring, i could try different snacks they made during the day and they helped me organize a transport to Sanur (Bali) to get to Nusa Penida.

Very clean room, new furnitures and lot of cabinets for clothes and things. You may use the common fridge. Homely lounge area and nice host family. Area is safe and people friendly. Walkable distance to restaurants. Very good value for your money

I liked everything.

I liked absolutely everything. This homestay is one of the cleanest I have stayed at in my two month trip to Indonesia. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the place looks new and well cared for. The wifi was working perfectly, just like the AC. The room smelled good. It is also very quiet, so I slept like a baby. I stayed in the twin room.. But most of all, the owners, Annie indah and her husband Johannes are the most caring, helpful and friendly people ever! They took good care of me since the moment I arrived by giving me all sort of advice and even helped me book the train ticket! They even invited me for a tea with freshly baked cake. And the breakfast is delicious, a full meal. Annie Indah is a great cook. I really felt at home! If you are in Banyuwangi don't miss the opportunity to stay at this place!

There was no sink in the bathroom. Maybe they have installed one in the meantime. Maybe I’ve overlooked in the short night?

I just stayed over night so not much to say But … The omelette for breakfast was the best one I’ve eaten so far (I think it was an omelette, at least something with eggs. I am writing this review quite late.) Ah yes, I arrived very late due to traffic jam. They waited for me until the late night. If this is interesting for someone: The room has a huge amount of cabinets on the walls. So probably plenty space for storage. But I cannot judge about the quality since I didn’t use it. There’s also something like a common room / kitchen and a terrace as far a I remember but I had no time to use it. And yes, the hosts are really kind, funny and helpful. Sadly I couldn’t take advantage of that that much because I had to travel further.

The bathroom doesn't have a wash basin, which is common in Java

The room was very spacious, with a complete wardrobe. It even had a drawer with a key, so you can keep your valuables safe. The location was in a characteristic place of the city, which was what I was looking for. The hosts were so kind, accommodating my needs and helping with everything. The owner of the homestay was soo nice. She organised the trip to the Vulcan Ijen and booked for us also a very cheap taxi to Bromo. She even offered us small local snacks that we could try and gave us a delicious coconut! Overall a very nice stay and we can really recommend it.
